Description
The small, modest village Prinos is well away from touristic hotspots, approx. 2km further inland and 14 km east of Rethimno. It is a typical Cretan village with traditional houses and small alleys set in a quiet and romantic surrounding with olive groves and vine yards. The holiday house PRINOS with is located on a large enclosed and well-maintained garden property. In direct vicinity is the property of the villa ELYA that is also let to guests. The distance between the holiday houses is approx. 35m. The gardens are separated by a nice stone wall that also gives sight protection.
The holiday house Prinos is enclosed by a large wall and set in a quiet side alley of the village. Access to the property is through a gate. The nicely renovated, freestanding Cretan farm house with pool is tastefully furnished and provides a cultivated atmosphere to help you forget about everyday stress. In the large and wonderfully green garden with Mediterranean flowers and trees you can relax and enjoy a splash in the large pool or the simply relax on the sun terrace. On two floors the holiday house provides everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The high ceilings on the first floor and the combination of stone and wood add a touch of individual comfort to the interior. On the ground floor the interior is more modern and kept in pastel shades. The living room and dining area is on the first floor. Just two steps below the living room is the adjoining open kitchen with direct access to a terrace with a view of the village. An external staircase from the living room leads to the courtyard, garden and pool. An internal staircase leads to the ground floor of the holiday house. Three bedrooms and the shared bath, which was fully renovated in 2015, are on the ground floor. 2 of the bedrooms have a separate entry from outside and direct access to the courtyard terrace, the garden and the pool. A small hallway with a separate outside entrance to the courtyard is connected to the third, middle bedroom. The secluded courtyard with terrace and rustic, bricked ovens invite you to dine in private atmosphere. The 50sqm pool (5 x 10m, 0,70 to 1,4m deep, not heated, in operation from 1.05.-31.10.) is ideal for swimming or a refreshing splash for both children and adults.

Ganz nettes Ferienhaus, jedoch im Vergleich zum Ferienhaus Askos auf Zakynthos (4 Sterne) seine 5 Sterne nicht wert. Es mangelte an Kochgeschirr und es gab weder die beschriebene Taverne, noch die Einkaufsmöglichkeit in der Nähe. Auch der Inneneinrichtung merkte man die Zeit an. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war sehr freundlich und Lage absolut ruhig.

A gem of a house, well equipped, tastefully decorated, very well maintained. Beautiful enclosed property with a beautifully landscaped garden, natural shaded area, clean swimming pool with loungers and umbrellas, all very well maintained - and you couldn't ask for better landlords!

The house was absolutely as described, beautiful pool area, everything sparkling clean and well equipped. The pictures correspond exactly to what you find there. A very beautiful, well-maintained holiday residence in a quiet location with short distances to the sea. The nearby port city of Rethymnon has a special charm. The house and garden offer plenty of space to relax. The pool is surrounded by exotic plants and is fun. A gardener takes care of the property almost daily from my observations. We spent 2 wonderful weeks in September in House Prinos. The house is large and well furnished, the garden beautifully landscaped. We especially enjoyed the terrace with the barbecue and the pool. A holiday home to relax in, we can only recommend it. We will come again.

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. Our children had a lot of fun in the pool and enough space to play. The landlords were very friendly and helpful and the weekly cleaning was also very good. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our holiday.

if you are looking for absolute peace and quiet, this holiday home is ideal. Beautifully maintained garden....House owner very friendly and helpful. The only disadvantage is the extremely musty smell in the shower on the ground floor....Toilet paper was out after two days and was not renewed....Was bought privately....

German-speaking landlords had prepared a very nice welcome for us. Apples, grapes, biscuits, a bottle of water and a bottle of wine were already waiting for us in the house. Rooms kept very clean. The interiors are very tastefully decorated. The garden is regularly maintained and looks very nice. The pool is just great and is maintained at least twice a week. It was a wonderful week in Crete.
