Description

Maison "MYOSOTIS" (Forget-me-not) is built like all the houses in the village in the Provencal style,
and offers space for two to three people.

It has a cosy living/dining room with a couch, two armchairs, a couch table, a separate single bed, as well as a secretary with writing and painting utensils. In the three drawers you will find tablecloths, table sets, parlour games for rainy days, city maps, hiking and excursion maps, as well as tips from previous holidaymakers.

In the sideboard you will find all kinds of glasses, a wine cooler, glass jugs, dinner plates, bowls, plates, kitchen scales and others.
On the wall shelf you will find books and illustrated books about Provence as well as novels for entertaining reading.

A built-in wall cabinet offers additional storage space. There you will find an umbrella, rucksack for shopping by bike, vacuum cleaner, broom etc. and the children's high chair and travel bed, which are also part of the inventory, as well as additional storage space for your personal belongings.

In the kitchen you will find more than one complete set of household goods for a holiday home.
Refrigerator with a small freezer, a new ceramic hob, enough stainless steel pots and pans, coffee machine with filter paper, spices, mini oven, in which you can also bake cakes and pizza, cake tins, hand mixer, and blender. Kitchen roll, foil and vacuum cleaner bags are a matter of course.

In the small built-in cupboard in the kitchen you will find plates, cups, chopping boards, kitchen utensils, juice squeezer and some durable food like sugar flour etc. as well as on the pin board weekly schedule for weekly markets in the whole area, for example in Le Muy, St. Aygulf, where you can get the famous Tarte Tropizienne, several restaurant tips, partly found good by guests, and further information.

The small bathroom has a shower, a washbasin with illuminated mirror, everything has been recently renovated, a WC and a bidet.
In a closet you will find for the first need toiletries such as soap, shower gel, toothpaste, toilet paper, suntan lotion, hair dryer, etc
Hot water bottle, spare bulbs and batteries can be found in the bedroom chest of drawers.

Garden furniture such as 4 chairs, a garden table, 2 deck chairs and a parasol with a stable stand stand are placed on the spacious terrace .I am always happy when my holiday home guests provide water for the flowers growing there in summer.
In front of the house you will find a garden bench and a small table with 2 chairs.

The fenced-in plot of land, with pines and cork oaks, is 400 You will always find a shady place in the garden and your car can be safely parked there.

The simple bicycles in the garden house can be used free of charge to travel to the neighboring village of "La Bouverie", 2 km away, where you will find a bakery, a small supermarket, post office, Credit Agricole, police, doctor's office, pharmacy, hairdresser, pizzeria, magazine shop and a small bar to drink a cappucino or a pastis.
On a larger square there is a small weekly market with regional products every Saturday.

In the bedroom you will find a chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe and two bedside cabinets to store your personal belongings, as well as a queen size bed.

Please bring sufficient bed linen, hand and dish towels with you.

On the day of departure, please leave the holiday home in a clean condition. Dishes, pots etc. should be washed.
The amount you put please visibly for the skraft on the table.
Please lock the holiday home and the garden gate and put the house key in the mailbox house no. 48, diagonally opposite.

Last but not least, I have a request
Take good care of the house and garden. Frogs, lizards, forest ants and geckos, which one finds in the garden, should NOT be chased away or even killed, because they are useful animals !
so that also other guests find a clean terrace, dog owners should take care that no remains are left behind when leaving.

Smokers like the terrace "tilt free" ! leave

My greatest concern is the special care required in the South of France when dealing with open fires
Making any fire or smoking outside (forest) is not considered a trivial offence.
In the summer months, even the forests of the Esterel Mountains are closed off. Barbecues are therefore prohibited in the garden.

When leaving the house, please make sure that all electrical appliances, especially the stove and oven, are switched off so that no fire can start here either.

A nice custom: always leave a few bottles of beer, mineral water and a bottle of wine in the fridge for the next guest, as well as toilets, filters and household paper.

Location and surroundings of object

If you live here in my absolutely quietly situated holiday home, you will not suspect that the lively and coastal landscape with its luxurious villas is only 17 km away.
By car, one needs 15 to 20 minutes and one is already in the middle of the bustle of the bathing beaches of St. Aygulf, Fréjus or St. Raphael.
Those who do not like it will also find small romantic bathing bays along the coast.

A selection of beautiful seaside resorts in the immediate vicinity :
==============================================

Fréjus at the foot of the Esterel mountains, the city founded by Julius Caesar in 49 BC, the Pompeii of Provence.
Also worth seeing is the cathedral in Fréjus with its carved Renaissance doors and octagonal baptistery. Almost in its original state is the amphitheatre from the 1st / 2nd century , which once held 10 000 spectators, where today performances and concerts take place.

The glamorous St. Raphael with its picturesque palm tree promenade and fine sandy beach,

the beautifully situated villa village Les Issambres,

the new Port Grimaud, located at the sea, built as a lagoon city, known as the French Venice, Sainte-Maxim, with its promenade and lush vegetation

Saint Tropez, the former dreamy fishing village with chic restaurants and exclusive boutiques. You should spend an evening there, even if you don't like the hustle and bustle, strolling in the picturesque old town and looking at the luxury yachts from all over the world in the harbour and maybe sniff the "smell of the big wide world".

Further destinations in the hinterland of the Cote d'Azur are :
=======================================

Roquebrune -sur-Argens with its indescribable flower splendour in summer, hence the name "Ville fleurie"
Not far from the town, a brown rock 372 m high rises from the plain, the Rochers de Roquebrune.
Many signposted hiking trails cross it. For experienced hikers, you can climb up to the three summit crosses and enjoy a magnificent view of the Maritime Alps.

Grasse, inland, the world capital of perfume, surrounded by lavender-rose and jasmine fields, has been the home of perfume factories such as Galimard, Fragonard and Molinard for 250 years, where you can create your own perfume!
Coco Chanel created in the 20's from orange blossoms and jasmine the today still incomparable
Scents: Chanel N° 5

Gogolin, the so-called stronghold of arts and crafts, is also worth a visit.
The world-famous briar pipes from the root wood of the tree heath, carpets and internationally known reeds for wind instruments are made there, conscious of tradition.

An in my opinion worthwhile day excursion in north-western direction leads into the gigantic canyons of the "Grand Canyon du Verdon " with its up to 700 m !! vertically sloping rock walls.

A special kind of excursion leads deep into the lonely Moorish mountains, on winding, narrow roads, to a Carthusian abbey from the 12th century, the Chartreuse de la Verne.
Less strenuous is the way to the equally famous and worth seeing Cistercian monastery "Abbaye de Thoronet".

For art lovers, Provence has a wealth of famous works. Almost every major town has museums whose treasures would be just as happy to be owned by galleries from other countries
Because of its incomparably intense light, Provence was and is the home of many famous painters such as
Cézanne, Matisse, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, van Gogh, Marc Chagall and Picasso.

Don't miss a visit to the countless museums of the Cote d'Azur, such as Jean Cocteau's in Monte Carlo, the Picasso National Museum, or the Renoir Memorial.

The already famous French gastronomy is also an attraction for gourmets.
The Provencal cuisine uses the particularly aromatic and spicy herbs that grow there, known as the herbs of Provence, as well as garlic and olive oil.
In old Provence villages in the hinterland you can sometimes find the typical and inexpensive restaurants.

The Var department also offers a wide range of sports activities:
Not only the coastline with its beaches, coves framed by rocks with crystal-clear water, which invite you to swim and snorkel, but also the leisure offer from diving to deep-sea fishing, as well as boat rentals of all kinds for water sports enthusiasts.
On land there are possibilities for horseback riding, tennis or golf, renting bicycles and motorbikes.

So don't let your holiday in this region, which is spoiled by nature and spoiled by the unchangeable trivialities, because in southern regions some things are handled more relaxed.
Here you turn to the pleasures of life - food and drink
Thoroughness, punctuality and cleanliness are well-known attributes of the Germans, which is why we are often smiled at abroad.

Guidelines

Advice by the landlord

check-in: 14:00
check-out: 10:00
rental deposit: 20 % at time of booking
final payment: 6 weeks before arrival

Cancellation terms:

  • Free cancellation for trips from 01.01.1970 to 01.01.1970. This means:
  • 100% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before arrival.

additional information:

And another thing:
The tap water here is very calcareous. Lime stains remain on all taps, but also on the cutlery and the stainless steel cooking pots. This is hardly avoidable and is not due to uncleanliness.
Also the coffee machine should be decalcified if cooking takes too long.

Observance of a further note protects you from unpleasant surprises. In this country, the diameter of drainage pipes is not as large as in our country : avoid blockages by not throwing nappies, tampons, hair or similar things in the toilet, but in the bin.

The lighting at the garden gate and in front of the house is switched by a brightness sensor. So it burns until dawn when darkness falls.
So you can safely find your way through the garden when you arrive in the dark.

If you go to the beach, I recommend you close the wooden shutters in front of the windows and doors. They not only provide a certain protection against uninvited guests, but also keep the house pleasantly cool.
For my guests who arrive in the summer months I recommend to bring an old white sheet to cover the car, you protect the passenger compartment from intensive heating.

For guests with sensitive skin I recommend sun milk with extra high sun protection factor.

To prevent annoying mosquito bites, for example, AUTAN or ANTI BRUMM helps.
If you have already been bitten, ONCTOSE cream from the French pharmacy will help.

Water in flower coasters should be avoided, as it is used by mosquitoes to lay eggs.

If you should ever break something - it can happen.
Just let me know.
Smaller things are not charged, larger things will surely be paid for by your household insurance.

Should you decide to stay at Les Pins Parasols, I wish you an unforgettable holiday
I wish you a wonderful holiday on the Cote d'Azur. Look forward to the warming sun, the sea and a life like God in France.

Bon Voyage wishes Christina Petuelli

small but fine

A small house with everything you need and want. We, a thirteen-year-old, two adults and a dog, felt very comfortable in the house and garden. We were well prepared for all the circumstances and the anticipation proved to be quite justified. We were able to do quite a bit, as there was a lot to see and do within easy reach - for everyone involved.

Cosy holiday cottage in Les Pins Parasols

Small, cosy holiday home in a quiet residential area with many trees that provide shade in high summer. Nice landlady, who provides a detailed exposé on the country/culture/excursion possibilities in advance and is also available on site by phone with advice and assistance. We will gladly come back - our dog felt comfortable on the enclosed property - also thanks to the nice neighbour's dog.

Answer from Mrs. C. Petuelli:

Quiet oasis near the Côte d'Azur

We are two young pensioners and like other guests before us, we found the cottage, its furnishings and location beautiful. What delighted us most every day was the diverse native garden vegetation: there are cork and holm oaks, long and fine-leaved mimosa, laurel, large umbrella pines, jasmine, oleander, azaleas, strawberry tree and more. If occasionally a less soft mattress is added, holiday bliss in the south of France is perfect!

Beautiful, cozy holiday cottage in Les Pins Parasols - an oasis of calm and relaxation.

We have already stayed in the small, great cottage for the 4th time in September, within the last 3 years, and we hope there will be more stays to come. Even though the house is a bit older, it has so much charm and is decorated with so much love that you just have to feel comfortable here!
You won't miss anything in the house: German TV programs, a small cozy bathroom, a travel cot for babies, a very well-equipped kitchen...etc.
The beautifully landscaped wild garden and the large terrace invite you to sunbathe and relax. You can sit here in the evenings and end the day nicely. The house has the perfect starting point for all kinds of excursions (St. Tropez, Cannes, Esterel mountains, Grasse, Verdon Gorge, etc.) and recreational activities (hiking, cycling, climbing...). The sea can also be reached within 15-20 minutes by car.
All in all, we can really only recommend this great retreat! A special mention goes to the nice landlady Mrs. Petuelli, who always has an open ear and has been taking care of this house for many years to ensure that guests feel completely comfortable here!
