The MAXIMA 1 holiday flat is 120 m² in size. It is furnished in a modern style
The flat has 3 bedrooms with double beds. Two bedrooms are equipped with a 180 cm wide double bed. One bedroom has a 140 cm wide double bed. All bedrooms are equipped with wardrobes, bedside tables, bedside lamps, stools and clothes racks. Pillows, duvets, sheets and hotel quality bedding are of course included. This means that the MAXIMA holiday flat offers enough space for 6 adults
The living and dining room has a large dining table for 6 people and a cosy seating area with two sofas and two armchairs as well as a living room table. It is equipped with a flat-screen TV, DVD player and stereo system
The modern large kitchen offers high comfort and has an additional dining area for four people. It is equipped with:
- Oven (conventional heating, hot air, defrost, grill, combinations)
- Glass ceramic hob with 4 cooking zones
- Extractor bonnet
- Sink unit
- Dishwasher
- large combined refrigerator and freezer
- Microwave oven
- Coffee maker
- Electric kettle

- all cooking utensils as well as sufficient crockery and cutlery for 6 persons.
Next to the kitchen you will find a separate pantry and storage room. There you will find cleaning products and cleaning utensils as well as an ironing board with iron
In the flat is a large bathroom with shower, toilet, 2 washbasins and hairdryer. The flat has a second toilet with toilet and washbasin. Hotel quality towels are of course included.
In the cellar there is a washing machine and a tumble dryer for free shared use.
The living room is adjoined by a partly covered terrace. There you will find a large garden table with six garden chairs and upholstery as well as a barbecue in summer. The covered terrace also offers a place for smokers to smoke. Surrounding the house is a large garden that merges directly into meadows and forest. The house is situated on the edge of the village. There are no direct neighbours. Neighbours are separated by a road or path and additionally a hedge. Peace and quiet and privacy in the garden are therefore given.
The flat is equipped with telephone and internet connection. The telephone is activated for national landline connections. You can access the internet via WLAN
There is a parking space right next to the house.
Due to its equipment, the holiday flat MAXIMA is particularly suitable for travelling with friends with up to three couples. It is also suitable for small groups of up to 6 people or for families with children over 6 years
The flat is located on the ground floor of a house with three units. It is entered via a staircase with 10 steps.

Due to the stairs in the entrance area, the flat is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with a limitation in climbing stairs.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday flat is located on the edge of the quiet and idyllic village of Braunsen in the Waldecker Land, close to the baroque residential town of Bad Arolsen, in the lake triangle between the Twistesee, Diemelsee and Edersee lakes, in the middle of nature and right next to the forest.
Throughout the year, you can take advantage of countless routes for hiking or cycling in the vast forests and wonderful landscape of the Waldecker Land. Some hiking routes lead directly past the holiday flat's property. Whether you like mountain biking or geocaching, jogging or Nordic walking, marathon or triathlon, you will find numerous possibilities here
The nearest golf course is only 4 km away in Wetterburg. It is a 9-hole golf course
In Bad Arolsen you can visit the Arobella adventure pool, only 6 km away from the holiday home. It is open all year round. Swimming pool, sauna, wellness and fitness are all under one roof. The Arobella offers you, for example, massage, swimming, slides, training, sauna, infusions, fun and health.
Lake Twistesee, Lake Edersee and Lake Diemelsee are attractions in summer. You can go swimming, nude bathing (FKK), water skiing, sailing, windsurfing, pedal boating, diving, fishing and much more. The Twistesee is only 2 km away from your accommodation. It is one of the cleanest lakes in Germany and offers in particular a lido, a nudist area and a water ski cableway.
In winter, you can quickly reach the ski resorts of Willingen or Winterberg in the Sauerland. Whether you like cross-country skiing or prefer a downhill run on a ski slope, you will find something for your leisure time here. You can also watch ski jumping or bobsleigh and luge competitions
In Bad Arolsen, visit the Residence Palace or one of the numerous museums (Christian Daniel Rauch Museum, Schreibersches Haus, Kaulbach House, Christian Daniel Rauch Birthplace, Mengeringhausen Local History Museum, Helsen Local History Room, Waldecker Toy Museum in Massenhausen, Landau Water Art). Or visit Mengeringhausen Castle, Wetterburg Castle, Landau Castle, the Bismarck Tower in Mengeringhausen, the ruins of Kugelsburg Castle in Volkmarsen, Weidelsburg Castle near Wolfhagen or Waldeck Castle on Lake Eder. The Hanseatic town of Korbach with its historic town centre and town wall and the Georg Viktor Tower as well as the Eisenberg castle ruins and a gold mine near Goldhausen are also not far away
Animal lovers will find many wild animal species in the wildlife park at Lake Edersee. There is a tree-top trail and a summer toboggan run near the zoo.
You can take a day trip to Kassel (approx. 40 km). There are many famous sights there (Wilhelmshöhe Palace, Wilhelmsthal Palace, Hercules, Cascades, Löwenburg, Bergpark, Auepark, Orangerie, Brothers Grimm Museum, Marble Bath, Natural History Museum, Neue Galerie, Spohr Museum, Tram Museum and Technology Museum). Kassel also has a climbing forest, a climbing wall or a cart track.
Near Paderborn (approx. 40 km) there is the wonderful safari park, zoo and amusement park Stukenbrock. There you drive by car through animal enclosures with white tigers and white lions, giraffes, antelopes and many other exotic animals. Afterwards you can have fun in a huge amusement park.
You can do your shopping in Bad Arolsen. There are numerous supermarkets, grocery shops and other shops there
You can find good restaurants in Wetterburg or Bad Arolsen. There are also fast food restaurants in Bad Arolsen that offer a delivery service.

Holiday Apartment Maxima 1
The holiday apartment is well equipped and very clean. It is nice that towels and bed linen are provided. We stayed in the holiday apartment at the end of October. It must be great in the summer when you can use the terrace that runs all around.

Beautiful flat in a rural setting
In September 2020 we (4 adults) stayed in the apartment Maxima 1,
the flat was very modern and newly furnished and lacked nothing.
The large terrace with good seating and adjacent garden house had a charcoal grill.
There were many marked hiking trails in the area and it was only a 2.5 km walk to the very beautiful Twistesee.
We felt very comfortable here and will certainly come back.
We didn't mind the smell of the neighbouring farm blowing in from time to time - it's just that you're in the village.
