The Holiday home
The house was built in 1975 by a German company in solid construction in the country house villa style. It received handmade bricks from a centuries-old Spanish finca.
In November 2018 we bought the property. Already in December, demolition and extensive renovation work began. It was important to us to preserve as many original parts as possible in order to preserve the charm of this lovely house. The kitchen is completely covered with original tiles and the bathrooms partly with original tiles that are almost 45 years old. The solid wood coffered doors, which were made by carpenters, were also improved and completely preserved. Very beautiful are the round arched doors in the sleeping area, which emphasize the style of the tasteful domicile in addition to the high-quality marble floors in the living area. The house got new aluminium windows, a new kitchen from the carpenter and new bathrooms. Partly renewed and modified were the sewage and supply water, roof drainage, terraces, septic tank and power supply.
The aged clay tiles around the house underline its natural character. They were - like many other old elements - deliberately not renewed. The concept of Casa Marylena is a largely ecological and health-conscious one. Walls and ceilings have a lime plaster and a non-toxic paint. In the kitchen there is an osmosis drinking water system for still drinking water, the new sofa is not made of leather for animal welfare reasons and the high-quality air conditioners work efficiently and without CFCs to save energy. The house is an absolute non-smoking house, conditionally accessible for pets and suitable for allergy sufferers.

Antique furniture: oval wooden table, 6 rustic solid wood chairs with leather seats, cupboard for crockery. Window with mosquito blinds. Access to the locked kitchen, wood and glass sliding door with security gate and shutters to the naya. View to the mountains and through the roofed terrace to the sea.
SEPERATE KITCHEN - New white wood fitted kitchen (carpentry) with double sink, osmosis water system, Privilege dishwasher, Bosch electric cooker with ceramic glass top, Privilege oven, stainless steel hood, Bosch fridge-freezer, buffet cupboard and storage. Fully tiled with valuable, partly repaired, beautiful relief tiles of the 70s. 2 windows with mosquito blinds. Look: Garden and sun terrace
NAYA - Typical semi-circular covered terrace integrated into the house with wooden beam ceiling. Nice view to the sea and the mountains. Terrazzo stone tiles. 2 large and deep round arched openings, one of which has a window (windbreak). Table and 6 chairs. Open fireplace with gas grill. Access to the dining room.
APARTMENT - Bedroom with built-in wardrobe. Double bed 180x200 cm with spring mattresses. Small furniture, closet. SAT-SmartTV. 2 windows with mosquito blinds and blackout blinds. Shower room. Small kitchenette with sink (cold water connection), fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, breakfast crockery. Ground level access.
EQUIPMENT - Latest air conditioning units on the upper floor (SZ and WZ). Two SmartTVs. Cookware, crockery, cutlery. Gas barbecue. Kettle, coffee maker, toaster, hand mixer. Vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing board. Washing machine in the garage.

Location and surroundings of object
The good and very popular location of the house in the quiet villa district El Tosal and the proximity to the romantic old town and the sea (100 m as the crow flies) are worth mentioning. You can hear the surf roaring softly - depending on wind direction and swell. Worth mentioning is also the location in a small service road/dead end, which serves a total of only 4 houses
Within a few metres on foot, you can reach a narrow sea path high above the edge of the sea via a staircase, which winds down to a stone beach with a wonderful view and further to a small flat sandy beach at the disused harbour of Puerto Blanco. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view over the sea to the city and the Penon de Ifach. Alternatively, you can drive to the small beach by car
If you love romantic mountain villages amidst orange plantations and olive groves, you don't have to drive far. Walks into the surrounding mountains and hikes with sea views are a wonderful alternative to a beach holiday, and some fincas in the hills and mountains invite you to a dignified meal

Playa de Levante or also called de la Fossa, 950 m long, finest sand, in 10 minutes driving time through the city towards east (after the Penon de Ifach). Cala Les Urques, small pebble bay, can be reached by car in 4 minutes passing the Puerto Blanco in the direction of Maryvilla.

Ein Haus mit Seele…

Ich habe schon in einigen Häusern in Spanien überwintert, doch in keinem habe ich mich mit meiner Hündin Dolly so wohl gefühlt. Zugegeben, es ist kein perfektes Haus, aber gerade das macht es so charmant – ein lebendiges Haus, ein Haus mit Seele. Das ökologische Konzept gefällt mir gut: Alles Wichtige wurde stilgetreu erneuert, alles Alte und Liebenswerte passend erhalten und restauriert. Einen Pool habe ich nicht vermisst, zum Abkühlen genügte mir eine Außendusche im „Landhausgarten“. Gerne komme ich wieder!

WOW, was für ein Blick, wenn man zum ersten Mal das Haus betritt und ins Wohnzimer kommt!
Selbst abends genossen wir lieber den tollen Ausblick auf die lichterfüllten Häuser am gegenüberliegenden Berg, anstatt ferzusehen. Leider hatten wir nur 5 - aber wundervolle - Tage in dem flairvollen Haus. Wir haben gut geschlafen und uns wohl gefühlt. Besonders gut fanden wir auch das Osmosewasser, welches direkt aus einem Hahn in der schönen, neuen Küche kommt.
Danke liebe Petra, dass du uns geholfen und uns dein schönes Haus überlassen hast, obwohl du noch am Renovieren warst. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Jahr....

Sehr schönes Haus in wirklich ruhiger Gegend, teilweise mit Meerblick. Restaurants, Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Ärzte und öffentl. Verkehrsmittel in fußläufiger Entfernung. Stadtmitte und Strand auch in ca. 15min.
Tolles Wetter dass ganze Jahr über und ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt, nicht zuletzt auch durch die nette und immer hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, Petra. Für einen zus. Pool besteht meiner Ansicht überhaupt kein Bedarf (war Ende Feb. schon im Mittelmeer baden...).
Freue mich schon aufs‘ nächste Mal.
