Le Pont D'Albart or Alabaster Bridge is a newly restored 18th century former royal hunting residence with a Deluxe Farmhouse and three luxury cottages for self-catering holiday hire from Easter to October The Farmhouse D'Albart is one of four deluxe cottages available at the Pont D'albart complex.
Set in 25 acres of tranquil countryside with its own private fishing/boating lake , Grade A trout river and outdoor heated swimming pool ( June-September).Close to beautiful uncrowded sand beaches and within easy reach of Cherbourg , local market towns (Bricquebec 6miles) and many places of interest ( St. Michaels Mount ,Bayeux Tapestry,Channel Islands , D-day beaches, Animal Parks and Zoo,Botanic Gardens,Carteret Marina,Chateaux and more).

Le Pont D'Albart lies approximately half an hour south of Cherbourg & in line with the Channel islands which can be seen from the marina resort of Barneville Carteret( 15 min drive ).
It also borders the Cotentin/bessin national forest & park with it's diverse wildlife & outdoor activities. Le Pont D'Albart is situated between the towns of St Sauveur le vicomte & Bricquebec which are a 10 minute drive away. Both towns have historic chateaux,markets,restaurants,shops& supermarkets as well as many leisure opportunities

great accommodation in beautiful surroundings
We spent 12 fantastic days with Sid and his family with our children. We received a very nice welcome and were provided with many helpful tips for excursions and activities. The communication in German was very helpful, especially for the children. The house is furnished with all the necessary things and very spacious. On the terrace you can have a relaxed breakfast and end the evening in a cosy atmosphere. The house is very remote, the next village (St. Jaques de Nehou) with a bakery (with many delicacies!!!) is 2.5 km away. But it is wonderfully quiet and besides a lot of nature you can also meet a fox in the morning. The farm duck is trusting and was lovingly cared for by the children. You can pass your time with the boat on the small lake, in the pool or with table football and table tennis. There is also a meadow for playing football, and the hosts are happy to play themselves! The wonderful beaches to the Atlantic Ocean can be reached quickly and a visit to the landing beaches can also be combined with sightseeing.
A trip by ferry from Dilette to Guernsey was particularly nice (but you should book the tickets well in advance). Mont St. Michel can also be reached in 2 hours by car and should not be missed!
All in all, a relaxed holiday with nice hosts in great surroundings! We would love to come back!

Something for everyone
If you are looking for relaxation, this is the place for you. Idyllic and quiet location. Comfortably and tastefully furnished holiday homes and friendly hosts make you feel at home immediately. There is much to discover in the surrounding area, both historically and culturally. The beaches are beautiful. Everyone will find something to their taste here.

Familienfreundlich und erholsam
Im Juli 2016 verbrachten wir mit Tochter, Schwiegersohn und Enkeln (8 und 12) hier unseren Urlaub. Wir waren begeistert von diesem paradiesisch ruhigen und erholsamen Ort, der aber ideal für Kinder ist (See mit Ruderboot, sehr sauberer Pool, Fußballplatz, Trampolin, Spielzimmer mit Tischtennis, Billardtisch u.a.) Das Ferienhaus war sehr sauber, ordentlich und geräumig, mit allem Komfort wie Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Mikrowelle. Vor dem Haus Sitzecke mit Grillplatz. Im Wohnzimmer gab es Spiele und Bücher (auch deutsche). Zu den nicht überlaufenen schönen Stränden war es nicht weit (z.B. Hatainville, D-Day-Strände) und auch die vielen schönen kleinen Orte der Normandie waren perfekt zu erreichen. Es gab tolle Märkte mit lokalen Produkten und sehr freundlichen Menschen. Die Vermieter Sid und Zeena und auch ihr Sohn Luc waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit und haben uns viele Informationen und Ausflugstipps gegeben, zumal Sid deutsch, englisch und französisch spricht. Für Leute, die einen individuellen Urlaub lieben, würden wir diese Unterkunft unbedingt weiterempfehlen.
