The spacious, renovated and renovated holiday home impresses you with its generous furnishings on two floors and 110 square meters. The quiet location of the house built on the slope is ideal for gaining strength and energy. From the large, covered balcony on the 1st floor and the 2nd uncovered balcony on the 2nd floor and several terraces, you have an idyllic view over the forest property. From here you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Edertal and the 673 meter high mountain “Sackpfeife”.
Hatzfeld lies in the typical low mountain range of the Upper Eder Valley. The highest peaks here rise to a height of 674 meters (sack pipe). You can always discover attractive perspectives in all seasons. Pass the time, for example, on a canoe tour or fishing. The city and the neighboring district of Waldeck-Frankenberg offer its visitors numerous leisure activities.

Activities nearby: The Hessian Bergenland offers you a variety of leisure activities in both summer and winter. The beautiful landscape is ideal for hiking or Nordic walking tours. The paths are very well marked and, last but not least, have been awarded awards by the German Hiking Institute. The Ederauen cycle path (200 km) leads directly through the town, 1 km away, or Sackpfeife with a summer toboggan run is only eight kilometers away. The Eder Dam and Waldeck Castle, 60 kilometers away, or Bad Berleburg, Marburg and Frankenberg are also worth a visit. There is also a lot on offer in the famous Winterberg winter sports area.

We enjoyed the house. It was a bit of a shock when we drove up to the house. It is really a steep path from the village to the house. We could only get to it in 1st gear.
There is enough cooking utensils and crockery available. The balcony is nice to enjoy. The 2 bathrooms are also nice. The master bedroom is in the lower house. The bunk bed on the floor where you also enter the house and where the large living room and kitchen are, where we have actually always lived. If children want to sleep close to their parents, this is a bit more difficult. Also, those who sleep in the room with bunk beds always have to go downstairs to go to the toilet. Useful to keep that in mind.
Contact with the landlord via email was fine.
From the house 1 beautiful walk to walk. Several beautiful walks in the area, but always take the car. The steep path to the top makes going to the bakery "quite a challenge in the morning.

Great house. Located on a beautiful hiking trail and on the edge of a quiet village. Nearby, Marburg and Dillenburg are well worth a visit (an hour's drive). The view from the balcony is formidable.
