This pretty stone cottage is quietly situated in a narrow lane in the busy, charming fishing port of Audierne. The 40 square meter one-room apartment is recommended to get to know the southern Finistere and the Audiern Bay. A good alternative to a self catering hotel room. The large roof terrace invites you to sunbathe and linger. In just 100 m you can reach the quay wall with nice bars, fish restaurants and the hustle and bustle of the fish and sailing port. In the evening you can stroll along the quay wall to the open sea. Here you will immediately get in the holiday mood. Every Saturday in Audierne there is a large market with fresh fish, shellfish and organic vegetables. The beautiful long sandy beaches of Audierne can be reached quickly either on foot or in a minute's drive. Take a day boat trip to Ile de Sein or La Pointe du RAZ, don't forget your backpack and binoculars. On the coastal hiking trails that stretch around the coast, you will discover an ever-changing panorama with the tides of low and high tide. In Audierne you can visit the aquarium, or the towns of Douarnenez, Quimper and Pont l'Abbe can also be reached quickly.

Apartment was as described and met my expectations. Clean & comfortable with pleasant roof terrace. Quiet area but very close (5 minute walk) to quayside, shops & restaurants. Handy off the road parking at the front. Host was easy to deal with, friendly and flexible, mainly using txt (handy to use Google translate as my French is basic). Fridge would be improved by a ice box (I've never encountered a fridge without one before). No WiFi is unusual, but 4G coverage in the apartment was OK and all the bars & restaurants I tried had free WiFi. I particularly recommend 'Cafe du Marche' for brunch and 'Les Bouchards' for a special occasion dinner (you need to book the latter). 3 supermarkets and a swimming pool are 5 minutes drive. The aquarium (with birds of prey demonstration!) is worth a visit.
