Trogir, a small town near Split, is famous for its town centre, which has been inscribed on the UNESCO list of protected world heritage sites, for the Romanesque portal at the entrance to the church of St. John, but also for lively summer nights. Near Trogir is also the island of Ciovo with idyllic small villages, beaches and hidden bays, which are perfect for swimming.

Around Trogir and in the town itself there are pebble beaches. A beautiful pebble beach, especially suitable for families with small children, is also located in front of the Hotel Medena.

The Romanesque town of Trogir represents the best preserved Romanesque-Gothic complex not only on the Adriatic Sea, but in all of Eastern Europe. In the medieval walled town centre there is a preserved castle, a tower, about ten churches and a number of dwellings and palaces from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods.

The famous Dalmatian Cathedral of St. John has the portal created by the master Radovan, the greatest Croatian sculptor. This famous Romanesque portal dates from the 13th century. The cathedral, together with the whole city centre of Trogir, has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
