Villa Tramontana

Villa Tramontana is situated in the old, picturesque coastal town of Sveta Jelena, not far from the village of Mošćenice and the municipality of Mošćenička Draga, a total of 25 kilometres from the town of Opatija, on the slopes of the Učka mountains overlooking the Kvarner Bay

Only a few minutes from the beach, one of the most beautiful villas of the Opatija Riviera offers a warm and secret atmosphere, with the splendour of a cosy and exclusive ambience, perfectly designed and furnished for you to relax and enjoy the moment. The restoration project was completed in 2010 and is very rich in details, pictures and other objects from long journeys of the owner. He brought his love both for the interior and nature as well as for traditional architecture with a feeling for design and aesthetics into a harmonious unity

The villa extends over an area of more than 300 m2 and is surrounded by terraced terrain (more than 3,000 m2), whose vegetation is characterized mainly by bushes of lavender and rosemary and traditional Mediterranean landscape architecture. In addition, one finds in the area are also olive trees, palm trees, conifers... Villa Tramontana was built in stone, with a lot of wood detail that recalls the Istrian and coastal traditions. It consists of two floors. On the ground floor there are carefully furnished luxury bedrooms, each inspired by their own style and design, with its own bathroom, so that one can speak of three apartments.

The Country Room has a typical Istrian window position, which is directed from the bathroom to the large double bed, which is furnished with rustic details and restored armchairs, a chest of drawers and other decorative elements, reminiscent of a village idyll in an echo of ancient times.

The second bedroom is called the Modern room and, unlike the County Room, will appeal to guests who prefer a modern interior. The bathroom in this room is separated from the bedroom by prism cubes.

All rooms have an exit to the terrace. Each terrace is designed so that you can enjoy your peace and quiet undisturbed and independent of other terraces. On the outside of the villa there is also a fireplace with the poetic name of Eden.

On the second floor, immediately adjacent to the main entrance of Villa Tramontana, is the living room, surrounded by large glass walls from top to bottom. These contribute to the fact that nature and the environment merge with the villa. Consequently, you will have the feeling of living in an open space that offers you a crystal clear view of both the islands of Krk and Cres and the port of Rijeka, which is also the largest city in the region.

If you drive from Rijeka towards Villa Tramontana along the coastal road, the wonderful towns Volosko, Opatija, Ićići, Ika, Lovran and Mošćenička Draga stretch along the way. However, if you continue in the direction of Brseč, you can reach Pula in Istria

The living room, dining room and kitchen form a unique cascade-like unit. The kitchen is built in a typical old Istrian style called Kažun. It is a traditional construction with a stone kitchen (with a pebble mosaic on the floor as a peculiarity), but it has all the elements of today's needs and habits of modern man:
A large double refrigerator with ice machine, a cooking island with worktop and a stove with a combination of gas and ceramic hob, a sink with shower function, a dishwasher, a variety of pots and pans and bowls). The central part of the dining area is characterised by a solid wooden table where up to ten people can sit comfortably.

Above the dining room, in an open space of the attic gallery, there is another bedroom with a double bed for 2 people, so that the villa can accommodate up to 10 people simultaneously. It is therefore ideal for families, groups of friends or company affairs (such as team building, presentations, events, etc.). On the ground floor there is a large toilet and a storage room.

A large swimming pool with dimensions of 12 x 5 m and a depth of 2 m is particularly impressive. This is an infinity pool, where you will have the feeling that the water flows into the sea and there is no boundary between the pool and the sea. Comfortable deckchairs and sunshades ensure that you can enjoy your peace and quiet with a book, favourite drink, music or conversations with friends.
