The Holiday flat

The private apartment is located in the resort Quinta do Morgado - Nora Velha on a small hill "Monte da Eira". A modern Portuguese furnished living room with a corner sofa, WLAN and TV, which can also be used as a sleeping accommodation, awaits you. The room is equipped with air conditioning and gas heating
The comfortable bedroom with high KingSize bed (200 x 180 cm) of best quality, built-in closet and make-up/desk with TV connection is also equipped with air conditioning for the summer and heating for the winter
The kitchenette in the entrance area is conveniently connected to the dining area in the living room by a counter. The kitchen is well equipped with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle, egg boiler, toaster, washing machine and much more
The bathroom is tiled in typical Portuguese blue and white, has a washbasin, shower-bathtub, bidet, WC and heating/towel dryer everything your heart desires. Natural ventilation and ventilation as well as lighting through windows complete the comfort. There is also a (new) built-in corner cupboard which contains the cleaning kit, a tumble dryer and the first aid station.
Fire extinguishers, safety instructions, instructions for use, hiking directions and various programmes can be found in the corridor and on the sideboards
The surrounding holiday resort in the old Quinta area is also attractive for sporty guests with 2 swimming pools, a tennis court and access to golf shuttle buses.
The complex also includes a café-restaurant "Nora Velha", open all day during the high and low seasons, with a bar, a launderette and laundry-dryer room, a doctor's surgery and a cash machine.
Conversely, where there are many holiday offers, there must also be rules for living together, especially during the main holiday weeks in July and August.
The following applies to all residents of the holiday village: please take care in accordance with the house rules, observe the rest periods in the facility and the usage times at the pool and follow the instructions of the caretakers and pool attendants if necessary in the interest of all.
Our local service team - Vanda and Marco Brito - welcomes and instructs the guests in the apartment and provides them with everything they need. Towels and bed linen are provided. Upon request, the staff of the apartment is available during your stay for a fee. If you have any other questions, you can use the materials, books, maps, programs and tips provided
In case of technical breakdowns in the apartment ( not the reception or the caretaker of the neighbouring hotel complex, but ...) our team helps quickly and skilfully or organizes if necessary the necessary specialist company or other providers (e.g. taxi, boat, bicycle, hiking guide ...).

Location and surroundings of object

The Quinta do Morgado with the old town of Tavira in the eastern Algarve lies at the interface between the hilly Serra of the hinterland on the one hand and the lagoon landscape "Ria Formosa", one of the largest mudflats in Europe with corresponding vegetation on the other hand
"Tavira Verde" is a member of the international city network "Slow Cities", enjoys a good reputation among bird conservationists and regularly organises large hiking, sports and cycling tours for all those interested.
The weekly and current concerts, lectures and events in some of the many (former) churches and other venues are well attended all year round
The proximity to Faro, Olhao, Sao Bras, Vila Real and various rural communities of the hinterland ensures a great cultural diversity beyond that.
Last but not least, Tavira lies by the sea, which can be reached in a few minutes. The ideal location of this holiday home is demonstrated by the fact that only 350 m to the south there is the national road EN 125, the cycle path and the railway line. They connect the Algarve from the Spanish border to the southwestern tip of Europe.
To the south it is only 500 m to the Gran Plaza shopping centre with large supermarkets, 30 other shops, restaurants with outdoor terraces and a multiplex cinema. After another 400 m, the attractive old town begins on both sides of the Gilao riverbed, against the backdrop of the Castel de Tavira and the white church towers
There you will also find the boat landing stage to the offshore islands of Tavira
The next beach section of "Barril" can be reached on foot or with an original small train (currently 1.60 Euro one way).
The holiday resort is also known for its good connection to the golf courses of the region: in the entrance area there is everything about golf including a shuttle bus connection
Immediately north of the resort is the Sierra of the Algarve: Excellent hiking trails in hilly countryside with flowers all year round, among orange and olive groves and cork oak forests.
