PALACES 1812
This magnificent rural structure - Palace 1812 - was built in the first decade of the nineteenth century, in the small Istrian village called Krnica (Carnizza). The structure, in the shape of a baroque palace, has maintained its original external appearance
The Palace has had its metamorphosis becoming a purely eclectic space, comfortable, with a welcoming atmosphere that, we believe, will excite you
The building was renovated in 2018 to give it a note worthy of the 21st century and not to erase the history that transpires from all its pores, history built since 1812 when our ancestors built it with so much love.
The historical spirit is maintained because in the space have been preserved some objects that possess our energy and represent a small trace of existence, work, love and tenacity that generations of our ancestors have left us in the future, merging the heritage of a hundred years with the atmosphere of a house.
This rural structure is accessed through a large monumental doorway in profiled stone and wrought iron, above which is carved the name of the founder.
In the house, in the shape of the two-storey baroque buildings, on the ground floor there is the daytime part that consists of a large dining room with a modern kitchen, while the living room is in rustic style, dominated by a large fireplace from the period of construction of the house.
The upper floors are accessed by a large staircase in wrought iron and oak wood.
On the first floor there are two modern, air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
On the second floor there is a large bedroom with its own bathroom and living room where you can relax, listen to music, paint, watch television and play-station.
In the attic there is a beautiful air-conditioned bedroom, with a ceiling height of m, made of wooden beams, with a large bathroom, from which extends the space where you can meditate and relax.
Within the structure there is a terrace covered with vines and wisteria and a separate terrace with a grill and a large space - outdoor dining room - where you can enjoy the scents of lemon, lavender and jasmine.
Another thing that this structure offers is a small oasis of peace surrounded by a wall of autochthonous Istrian stone, from where, in all the intimacy you can observe the blue of the Istrian sky and the sparkle of the stars and taste the Istrian wines. The large autochthonous space available to guests consists of elements for recreation, such as the table for table tennis, the space for playing cards, as well as an exhibition of utensils used throughout history in the daily life of the owners.
We offer all this because we want with all our heart that our guests and friends, after staying there, bring with them the echo of their experience, to return to their homes enriched and changed by an authentic experience in an authentic environment.
Near the hotel there is also a new restaurant with Istrian specialties and a bar-pizzeria, an edible shop, the post office and the main church, as well as two churches - traces of the past.
Two kilometers away are rocky beaches and pebble beaches, a restaurant offering seafood specialties.
The whole area is dotted with cycle paths and nearby there is an estate that offers the possibility of horseback riding. The adrenaline park, where both children and adults can enjoy themselves, is just a couple of kilometres away.
Krnica is a quiet place, surrounded by beautiful greenery and olive groves, with a very good location from which Pula, Rovinj, Porec and Koper, Opatija, Rijeka and Venice can be reached in a short time.
The highest mountain in Istria - the Učka and the green central Istria should be visited and enjoyed.
