Description
The Küsschen holiday home is a log cabin with 46 square metres of floor space and a covered terrace, which we rent to up to four people. It is located on an approx. 580 sqm large and very sunny plot in the Baltic Sea resort of Damp, about a 10 min. walk from the beach.
It is on the ground floor with two separate bedrooms, one with a bunk bed and the second with two normal beds. In the living and dining room there is a large, extendable corner couch. Furthermore, there is a bathroom with shower, washbasin, hairdryer and toilet as well as a kitchen with ceramic cooker, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. We currently offer W-LAN free of charge. The Küsschen is connected to the internet via vectoring with a 100 M/bits line and has some Smart - Home functions.
The house is partially renovated. The kitchen is aging, but clean and equipped with all essentials (cooker, oven, microwave, coffee maker, smothiemaker, refrigerator, washing machine and dishwasher).
You will find both sunny and shady spots in the garden at any time of the day, just as you like. If you want the sun, you can have breakfast at the corner opposite the terrace, while the evening sun is best enjoyed on the terrace itself.

Location and surroundings of object
Damp has shopping facilities (also open on Sundays) and offers a very wide range of leisure activities for young and old without long distances.
Please note that many of the leisure facilities in Damp are closed for Corona reasons (the Entdeckerbad, Funhalla and the bowling centre). The following text refers to "normal" times, please enquire about the opening of the facilities, over which I have no influence, directly at Damp.
The Damper offer for families can hardly be topped. In addition to the "Entdecker Bad", which includes a sauna with compulsory bathing costumes, you can go swimming in the panorama pool. For children, there is an all-day childcare service, each with age-appropriate care options, in the Children's Paradise, which is part of the Fun and Sports Centre. There you can go inline skating, climbing, play beach volleyball or squash. For your active holiday, you can use the beach stage, the Vital Centre (wellness, sauna, massages, etc.), water skiing, the kite workshop, the bowling centre, adventure golf and much more.
Around the village there are many kilometres of natural and cultural landscape. This means that you can be in the countryside on foot in just a few minutes. The wonderful Damper beach promenade merges into a spectacular cliff around the village.

| The Küsschen holiday home is powered 100% by sustainable electricity from wind power or solar energy (light, heating, hot water, kitchen appliances, etc.). The price per kilowatt hour is 47 cents and is passed on by me without any surcharge. Please always send me an email with the start and end reading of the electricity meter (you will find it in the white electrical cupboard in the hallway) on arrival and departure, so that I can prepare your final bill. |
Cancellation terms:
- You will be refunded half of the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock midday CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 7 days before check-in there will be no refund.

The beautiful Damper sandy beach with its lovely promenade soon turns into a rugged cliff outside Damp - on both sides. In the immediate vicinity of Damp, there are only natural and cultural landscapes, as if made for recreation, because they are surrounded by greenery after a few minutes' walk. The cliffs around Damp are just as picturesque as the Damper hinterland, which also includes the Damp estate.
The surrounding area
Nearby (16 km) is the picturesque harbour town of Kappeln on the Schlei and the enchanting fishing village of Maasholm. Many people think that the Schlei is a river, but in reality it is a fjord! Find out about the secrets of Schleimünde!
Shopping a little further away
There are many destinations for shopping and strolling (Kappeln with Aldi, Penny and Co.: 16 km, Eckernförde (also Aldi, Penny and Co.: 25 km. Schleswig and the state capital Kiel are also not too far away (it takes 45 minutes by car to get to the state capital Kiel).

Das Grundstück ist ruhig gelegen. Der Parkplatz mit 30 m fußläufig zu erreichen.
Die Einrichtung ist sehr dunkel, so dass auch am Tag Licht angemacht werden muss. Eine gute Mischung aus kalt und warm beim Duschen wurde von uns leider nie erreicht. Mehrmals abends wurde das Fernsehprogramm unterbrochen, da es übers Internet läuft. Eine Herdplatte funktioniert leider nur noch eingeschränkt.
Jedes Mal wenn man sich in der Küche bewegt, öffnen sich die automatischen Deckel der Müllbehälter.

Cozy holiday home
At the beginning of August 2020, we spent a relaxing week on vacation with our grandson at the Küsschen vacation home. The location and furnishings of the rustic cottage were ideal for us. The kitchen is very well equipped and we were able to make good use of the covered terrace, stocked with sturdy garden furniture, as well as the garden framed by bushes. We would choose the vacation home again for a vacation at any time.
