The Holiday home

The "fermette", the former small farmhouse, has changed from a near ruin to a comfortable house: Living room of 40m2 with underfloor heating, sitting area with sofa and two swing chairs, flatscreen / also with all German channels, DVD/CD player, record player, an efficient wood stove, a dining area and an open, modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, extractor hood, fridge-freezer
Below a WC with hand basin apart, next to it a shower with washbasin furniture.
Upstairs a bedroom of 21m2 and a bathroom with tub/toilet. In addition there is downstairs a big room of 35m2 in which wheels can be stored, an electric darts game invites to play, a table with a carrom game and everything useful in the garden. In the heating room there is a washing machine and a sink for the dirty hiking boots
Our house is super insulated, all windows and doors are new.
Around the house is the garden with five varieties of apple trees, an old walnut, smaller peach trees, a quince, a cherry ... Rhododendron, Camelia and Co. are not missing. But the terrain is open, so that you have a beautiful, wide view on three sides. Above all a lot of sun all around! The perfect garden for the bookworm.

The house is very quiet outside, but not lonely. Everything your heart desires is within 4 to 5 km: a great baker and butcher, a shopping centre, the very friendly Avranches with restaurants, cafés, nice shops and a regional Saturday market: fresh oysters and other seafood can't be!
Directly from the house you can take two walks with a view of 2 hours each
A guided mudflat crossing to Mont Saint Michel is very recommendable. A visit to the beautiful Saint Malo with its old core "Intramuros" almost a must! Or would you rather spend a day in Jersey? There are great deals from Granville.

Included are: Beds covered, small towels, bath mat, kitchen towels, W-Lan with code, energy/heating included. We don't ask any, but please leave the kitchen completely clean, remove the beds and vacuum for a short time.

Our house is mainly used by ourselves, therefore very personally furnished - but very well tidied up.
In the evening you can look in front of and behind the house into a grandiosen star sky and by the landscape of the "boccage", the small hedges, chirp the birds 'ohn' Unterlass'.
In May 2019 the terrace of Douglasholz will be set up in front of the bedroom, underneath you will find the hammock, the BBQ, dining table and chairs - protected against sun and rain. The adjustable garden chairs can be placed where you like it best.

My absolute darling, this house in Basse Normandie. Too bad I can't live there all the time. The Atlantic Ocean ensures that an unbelievable number of Mediterranean plants can grow there. But it is not as hot in summer as in the south - which is why I "moved" to northern France. I don't need to miss the mimosa trees in February. In October I sat with my husband at 26 degrees in front of the house on the stone bench - in the evening it gets chilly. Sleep a pleasure. It took me three years to realise my dream of a fruit plot with a cosy house. In the garden everything is thoroughly trimmed, the wilderness a little dammed up. What I like: the change from silence to a thousand possibilities to do something.
