Extensive hikes around the numerous dams or along the Rennsteig are always an experience. Your holiday flat is located directly on the wonderful Vessertal circular hiking trail. Swimming pools and zoos are in the immediate vicinity. This year, the Federal Horticultural Show in Erfurt and many outdoor locations are a special highlight. Indoor and outdoor restaurants are open. Our holiday flat is located directly in the Thuringian Forest in Schmiedefeld am Rennsteig at an altitude of 700m. The resort is located in the Vessertal-Thuringian Forest Biosphere Reserve. In the 2017/2018 season, the newly built lift with snow-making equipment was opened and attracts numerous guests in winter. In summer, the Rennsteig, the Finsterberg with its new tower built in 2018, the romantic Vessertal and the Schneekopf invite you to take long hikes. Steam train rides at the nearby Rennsteig railway station are also an absolute highlight. The biathlon stronghold of Oberhof and the Krämerbrücken city of Erfurt are in the immediate vicinity.

Die Wohnung ist geräumig und hell. Bodenbelag billig und alt. Badezimmer und Küche renovierungsbedürftig. Küchenaustattung mangelhaft.

Hello my name is Maren, 2 years ago I bought this house here in Schmiedefeld in a wonderful landscape in the middle of the Thuringian Forest. The best thing is that it is located directly at the big finish of the biggest cross-country race in Europe. Every year in the middle of May the Rennsteiglauf gathers runners from all over Europe in Schmiedefeld Come and live with us.
