Enjoy an unforgettable holiday in the holiday home "Backbord" with lots of maritime flair
On approx. 100 m², the maritime holiday feeling welcomes our guests as soon as they enter the house. The open combination of dining and living opens up on one side through the perfectly integrated well-equipped kitchen and the place of action on the other side - the living area. A cosy living area, a wood-burning stove and the magnificent view of the water make every holidaymaker's heart beat faster
The adjoining terrace with beach chair and dining table for 4 people offers the perfect place to enjoy a sunset directly on the water and let the evening end in a relaxed way. The floor-to-ceiling windows allow a magnificent view of the Schlei even in the cold season, of course with a fireplace and a delicious cup of tea. The large flatscreen with home entertainment provides entertainment. The separate guest WC is also located on the ground floor
On the first floor, two bedrooms with a view of the water await our guests. One bedroom is equipped with 2 single beds and TV. From the second bedroom with the double bed, our guests have direct access to the balcony with a view of the Schlei. For the 5th person there is a sofa bed in the living area. From here you can access the large roof terrace, which offers a fantastic view of the entire Baltic resort, the Schlei and Baltic Sea. Equipped with lounge furniture, parasol and an electric barbecue, the holiday day can end or begin perfectly here
The holiday home "Backbord" leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to wellness. On the upper floor you can warm up in the Finnish sauna on cold days. Furthermore, the wellness bathroom offers a spacious washbasin and a large shower, as well as a WC

The holiday home Backbord is part of the northern, exclusive Baltic Sea resort Olpenitz. Please note that there may still be some construction work in the area. We will be happy to inform you about the exact current status. However, we have no information as to when future work will be carried out.

The Ostseeresort Olpenitz is being built in one of the most beautiful holiday regions in Germany: in the north-east of Schleswig-Holstein near Kappeln directly between the mouth of the Schleim River and the Baltic Sea
On the more than 150-hectare site of the former Olpenitz naval base, a new, unique holiday resort in a class of its own is being built, which will captivate with its variety of holiday homes and properties with Baltic Sea proximity

Our Ostseeresort Olpenitz is constantly developing and we are all very excited about the development until the planned completion in 2022
On the north pier, we have our own private beach for guests at the Baltic Sea resort. There is plenty of space here for young and old to lie down, play and swim.
The new EDEKA market also offers a bakery and a gastro area with a view of the harbour basin
For extensive tours by bike, the company "Fahrrad Schmidt" supports you and your family directly on site. In the southern part of the Baltic resort there is an adventure golf course on an area of 2,800 square metres. Enjoy nice walks along the harbour promenade and have a look at the small shops in the house Klabautermann.
There is also fresh fish directly from the cutter, excursion traditional sailing boats, canoe and boat hire, optimist sailing courses from the Globetrotter Academy and, of course, spectacular harbour cinema.
The immediate vicinity of Weidefelder Strand, approx. 3 km away (incl. dog beach, restaurant, beach chair rental, kiosk, DLRG surveillance in summer), rounds off the holiday offer.
The nearest town, Kappeln, is a recognised Baltic Sea spa and health resort with a population of approx. 10,000, offering many tourist attractions for sailors and beach holidaymakers. Kappeln, with its many sights, restaurants, shops and cosy fishing harbour, is only about 5 minutes away by car.
Experience a trip on the Schlei paddle steamer "Schleiprincess" from Kappeln harbour to the Schleimünde lighthouse or take a bicycle tour along the many beautiful cycle paths along the Schlei and Baltic Sea. Enjoy the unique natural landscape or relax on the terrace at sunrise and sunset.

Rundum der beste Urlaub in Deutschland. Am Haus gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Es ist wunderbar. Im zweiten Schlafzimmer könnte man noch ein Insektengitter anbringen.

Toller Urlaub: super schönes, modern und stilvoll eingerichtetes Haus. Highlights waren die Sauna, die tolle Dachterrasse und der Strandkorb. Den Gästen mangelt es an nichts. Nur zu empfehlen, wir sind aus dem Schwärmen gar nicht mehr herausgekommen :)

Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt. Hervorzuheben ist, dass die Lage dieses Hauses in der gesamten Anlage optimal und ruhig ist.
Die Einrichtung im Haus ist insgesamt zweckmässig und neuwertig.
Verbesserungsbedarf sehen wir bei den Matratzen in den Betten, die sehr weich sind und bei der Couch im Wohnzimmer, die ungemütlich ist.

Die Haushälfte selbst war bestens, alles sauber, alles in Ordnung. Was uns geschockt hat war die Sterilität des Resorts, kein Flair, nichts Gemütliches, alles quadratisch, praktisch, gut. Das hätte man näher an der Natur realisieren können.

Die Ausstattung und die Aufteilung der Räume lassen kaum Kritik zu. Alles war dort wo man es erwartet hat und die Aussicht auf die Schlei ist morgens und abends immer ein Blick wert. Auch die Minigarage für die Fahrrad, Grill, Liegestühle und der Faltbollerwagen waren eine tolle Überraschung.
Den Kühlschrank könnte für die Größe und mögliche 4+2 Belegung mindestens eine Nummer größer ausfallen. Ein Tipp: Der Matratzenschoner auf dem Ehebett lässt kaum Luft hindurch und deswegen haben wir ihn nach kurzer Zeit abgezogen.
Olpenitz, der Weidenfelder Strand und seine fast erschlossene Wohnanlage ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert und wir werden mit Sicherheit auch in den nächsten Jahren noch einmal wiederkommen.
