Cosy farm cottage with large garden on the edge of a small village - wide landscape and spectacular sunsets - idyllic tranquillity - lots of space for children to run around - 2 sheep behind the house - natural soap workshop on the farm
The house is one of the oldest in the village. Carefully renovated, the traces of 130 years of history have been preserved or brought to light again. The quiet garden with its large lawn and old fruit trees, which is reserved for guests only, has a particularly relaxing effect. The property is located at the end of a cul-de-sac with little traffic. From here you can enjoy the view of the Bodden, the Fischland/Darß peninsula and the vastness of the surrounding meadows.
The rustic farmhouse accommodates a well-designed holiday flat with space for up to 6 people: there are old floorboards, exposed half-timbered beams, and clay-plastered walls. The heart of the house is a spacious kitchen-living room with a wood-burning stove.
One bedroom with double bed (160cm), second bedroom with double bed (140cm), single bed (100cm) and a cot. In the small cosy living room there is a day bed as an extra bed. Bathroom with shower / WC and storage room.
A travel cot and high chair are available free of charge on request.
Two sheep graze in front of the window of the small cosy living room. There is no TV - but a large shelf full of books and games, a sandpit with digging equipment, spectacular sunsets, a lot of worthwhile destinations, even in bad weather. WI-FI. Walk to the Bodden approx. 500 m, very good crane watching in the surrounding meadows in spring and autumn. Popular surfing and kite surfing area on the Saaler Bodden 2 km away.
Natural soap workshop on the farm. Many creative people in the area.
I live on the same property and also run my natural soap workshop here. I am usually on site and will be happy to advise you on the detailed planning of your holiday and help you with any problems or special requests

Location and surroundings of object
The cottage is located on a quiet side street (dead end) with a view over the bay and meadows on the fish and the country Darß. For Bodden is about 500 meters on foot or bicycle, the Baltic Sea beach about 16 km by bicycle (bike path) or car. Chicks Hagen is a quiet little village in the vast lagoon area surrounded by meadows and pastures, ideal for family holidays. There are cows, horses, sheep, poultry, dogs and cats. 's Neighbors are young families with children that play out on the streets.

Relaxed holiday near the Baltic Sea
Haus Marie Z. is a very lovingly renovated old farmhouse where we felt very comfortable during our three-week holiday. The furnishings contain everything you need and the landlady always has an open ear if something is still needed. Five of us were there with three teenagers, who really enjoyed the proximity to the surf and kite spot in Saal. In addition to water sports, it's a great place to go cycling, read, enjoy the peace and quiet and the view over the Bodden meadows
The Baltic resort of Graal-Müritz and the bathing resorts on the Darß are about 25-40 minutes away by car - depending on your destination. A perfect mix between absolute tranquillity and a lively Baltic Sea holiday.

A highly recommended accommodation!
Switch off and relax properly, far away from the noise and hustle and bustle of everyday life. Find peace in an idyllic landscape and recuperate properly. If you're looking for that, Ina Schulenburg in Kückenshagen is exactly the right address!
In June 2017, we spent a wonderful week's holiday in the beautifully restored and furnished Bauernkaten, with a delightful garden to linger in. We felt completely at ease, so much so that we would have preferred never to leave again.
All the towns and beaches on the Fischland-Darss-Zingst peninsula are easily accessible. An evening stroll across the meadows and pastures, towards the Bodden, rounded off our day.
Mrs. Schulenburg is a great and very nice hostess. Upon arrival, she spoiled us with a beautiful bouquet of garden flowers and a piece from her self-made magic soap assortment. It was a super beautiful day and we would spend a holiday with Mrs. Schulenburg again at any time. Highly recommended, even with children!

Great vacation
We, as a family of 4, stayed in the House Marie for 2 weeks and felt comfortable right from the start. The lovingly renovated brick house exudes a pleasant charm and even includes a wood stove in the kitchen. The large garden is wonderful for letting the children play in the shade of the fruit trees even in the heat...and the two sheep were of course a main attraction for the children.
Ina - thank you very much for the great vacation - we felt very comfortable all around and would love to come back. ...what we already miss is the beautiful walk to the nearby Bodden.

Relaxing days at the Marie Z house.
Kückenshaben itself doesn't offer much, but it is a centrally located, easily accessible starting point for exploring the Baltic Sea coast and the Bodden. The location is also convenient, almost exactly in the middle between Rostock and Stralsund, so you can be in these beautiful cities in less than an hour.
The cottage itself has been restored with great care and knowledge, it is very tastefully furnished and cozy.
The landlady is very helpful and friendly and makes wonderful soaps.

Enchanting family vacation with a relaxed pace.
This summer, we stayed for the first time at the holiday home Marie Z. with three young children and truly enjoyed it.
The location of the house is very quiet, making it safe for children. We loved the garden and the children especially enjoyed feeding the two charming goats. The entrance to the Bodden was not suitable for us to swim, so we drove to Dierhagen, but that does not diminish the impression of the house and the garden.
We would love to come back!

The perfect place to relax.
A beautiful old house - not renovated into ruins - functional and lovingly furnished with an eye for the essentials. Very beautiful large garden where you can have peace and always find a shady spot. If you like hustle and bustle, you can go to the Baltic Sea beach (15 minutes), if you prefer tranquility, you can visit one of the numerous bathing spots on the Bodden or the nearby bathing ponds. Children can play in the garden - even on the street. Two pet sheep made the holiday perfect for the children. And even when it rained, there were many destinations in the area that made the day beautiful.
