Charming holiday home on small estate:
Our holiday home is located in Porva, Hungary, in the Bakony Mountains, in the middle of the Balaton - Budapest - Vienna triangle. Although surrounded by nature you can reach the house by car in less than 45 minutes from Lake Balaton and less than 2 hours from Vienna and Budapest
The very spacious estate has 7 rooms, a large kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 2 flats. And is therefore also particularly suitable for a holiday with friends, family or a friendly family. The house is suitable for up to 16 people.
With use of 10 meter pool, barbecue and goulash fireplace/fire pit
The cottage has a 30m2 living room with fireplace and stereo and a separate dining room. In the spacious (1000m2) garden you will find a pool of 10 x 5,5 m.

Location and surroundings of object
Porva, Veszprem Porva is situated in the Bakony Mountains, north of Lake Balaton in the most beautiful area of Hungary. The village is situated in the High Bakony, as the crow flies about 6 km northwest of the town of Zirc, and about 400 m above sea level. From the village and its surroundings you can see perhaps the most beautiful panorama of the Bakony Mountains: the mountain twins Kőris-hegy (Escheberg, 704 m) and Kék-hegy (Blauerberg, 661 m). Escheberg is the highest peak of the Bakony Mountains. The characteristic double shape formed together with the Blauenberg is one of the most beautiful parts of the area. Tourists use this as a compass, all the more so because the aeronautical radio measuring device standing on the Escheberg peak can be seen from near and far. Next to it is the observation tower. It got its name from Peter Vajda, who was a nature lover, poet and writer. When the weather is fine, tourists can admire a magnificent panorama. The view extends north to Pannonhalma (Martinsberg), east to the Vértes (Shield Mountains), south to Lake Balaton (Balaton)

Zirc for about 8 km
Bakony Museum in Zirc, small but charming, always appreciated by the children.
In addition, there is the Abbey of Zirc, recently restored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the Abbey's internationally renowned arboretum.
Visit the more than thousand year old ruins of Czesnek.
From Zirc an old tourist train runs through the beautiful Cuha valley to Panonhalma and Gyor.
Panonhalma at about 40 km
The abbey of Pannonhalma, where wine has been made for more than 1000(!) years. You can visit the abbey and the wine cellar
The wine cellar can be visited with or without wine tasting.
The abbey has a lavender farm and a nice restaurant. Highly recommended.
