Matilda II - romantic Finn cottage
Mecklenburg Lake District
and commissions
Description
The cosy Finn cottage offered here (approx. 45 m²) is situated on a park-like property of approx. 1000 m² with old maple and lime trees. It has a spacious living and dining room, a small kitchen and a bathroom. The cabin can be used comfortably by 2 people, and there is also room for a small child. There is a sofa bed in the living room, and you can also use the covered terrace for a cosy afternoon nap
Those who want a holiday away from large holiday parks will feel at home here
The Finnhütte is a nostalgic relic from GDR times in the 70s. We wanted to preserve the character of the cabin. We installed a new bathroom and bought modern kitchen appliances and some farmhouse furniture along with a double sofa bed. A cast iron stove provides cosy warmth in minutes even in dingy weather. Wood can be purchased cheaply on site. There is also a television
In front of the Finn cabin is an open terrace for barbecuing and relaxing. Sun and shade are selectable due to the vegetation. A romantic covered terrace of approx. 20 m² belongs to the rental property
The cabin has a barbecue, 2 outdoor seating areas and plenty of parking space. Boats are available on site.

Location and surroundings of object
A path 60 metres away leads to the Alte Havel, which flows into the Drewensee 80 metres further on. Here you will find a small jetty where you can use your kayak or rubber dinghy. The first forest bathing spot at Drewensee is a 3-minute walk away, and it's less than 10 minutes to the official bathing spot. Lake Drewen is closed to through traffic of motorboats and offers a paradise for fishing, bathing and sunbathing for the local residents. The Schwanhavel is now known far beyond the borders of Mecklenburg as a particularly beautiful canoeing stream. Paddle from our house jetty through this idyllic stream to Wustrow, stop there for a meal and paddle back. One dream day out of many
You can paddle to the fisherman, who offers delicious smoked fish, in 15 minutes. Of course you can also use bicycles or go hiking. Ahrensberg is a village with less than 80 inhabitants. The "centre" is a cosy village pub with hearty food and daily meat on the spit. The surrounding area offers countless tourist attractions. Enjoy the castle concerts in Rheinsberg, cycle to the culture barn in Klein Trebbow, visit the theatre in
