Location and surroundings of object

Did you know that you find the smallest nature reserve in Spain in Calpe? El Penyal d'Ifac, the 332-meter-high mighty limestone cliffs, covers an area of ​​around 50,000 m². The rock seems to rise from the Mediterranean and proves to be not as small as one would expect during climbing, especially during the hot summer days.

The Costa Blanca is of course an ideal destination for sun, sea and beach lovers. The various coastal towns all have their own Spanish charm with extensive (pebble) beaches, boulevards and sidewalk cafes. Calpe is famous for its fishing port with fish market and many seafood restaurants. In the immediate vicinity of Calpe you will find the popular coastal towns of Altea and Moraira. Further north you will find Benissa with the beautiful valley "Jalón Vallei".

Are you looking for more liveliness? The large resort of Benidorm is less than half an hour away by car. The clean and safe beaches have been awarded many times. Apart from sunbathing, you can also practice (water) sports such as volleyball, beach football or water skiing (at the water ski school cable car).

Are you tired of sandy feet? The already mentioned valley "Jalón Vallei" is ideal for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. The area is well-known for its extensive vineyards and, in addition, the whole landscape is bathed in soft pink every February around countless flowering almond trees.

There is enough entertainment for the whole family. In and around Benidorm there are various amusement and water parks. Sports enthusiasts can let off steam in the "Parque de Foietes", where they can practice various ball sports, use the athletics track or swim in the Olympic size swimming pool.

There are many attractions near the city. Southwest of Calpe is the coastal town of Altea, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the region. In the center of the old town is the beautiful church "Virgin del Consuelo", the square in front of the church offers a beautiful view of the city with its white houses.

Lower inland is "El Castell de Guadalest", the castle of Guadalest, where, in addition to a glimpse into life, it offers an unbelievably beautiful view.

In Calpe you will find a large supermarket, a drugstore, a bakery, a bicycle rental and a wide range of shops, restaurants and sidewalk cafes. There is a wide choice of restaurants, from the Dutch pub to the English pub, which once again highlight the different nationalities.
