Description
Villa Maura is a detached, very well maintained holiday house on 3 levels with private parking, private garden with a brick barbecue and a garden table and chairs to eat outside. On the ground floor there is a large living room with 2 comfortable sofas and a small table and a large dining table with 8 chairs. The separate, very bright kitchen with 2 windows is fully equipped with oven, dishwasher, stove with 4 burners, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer and coffee maker. Due to the bright river floor, it is also nice and cool here in summer. A beautiful marble staircase leads upstairs. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms: The bedroom "Gold" has a large double bed, a chest of drawers, a dressing table, a walk-in closet and its own small balcony with seating and beautiful views of the pool. The bedroom "Silver" has 3 single beds that can be changed, a closet and a dresser. Each of the 3 floors has a bathroom. The bathroom on the first floor has a bath, whereas the bathrooms on the ground and basement have a shower. The staircase to the basement is secured by a wrought-iron grid, so that even small children can play carefree in the living room. In the basement there is a table tennis room and a washing machine. The whole house has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere as it has been tastefully decorated with great care.

Location and surroundings of object
The small, family-run holiday complex is picturesquely situated on a hill in a fenced garden, which is secured by an electric gate. In addition to the detached Villa Maura is a Tuscan country house with 6 lovingly built apartments. The inviting and well maintained pool has a beautiful sun terrace with plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds. A children's playground and a small football field delight our little guests. In the expansive and extensive garden are olive trees, pines and even palm trees, which together with some flowering shrubs emphasize the Mediterranean flair.
The strategic location in the heart of Tuscany is ideal for exploring this beautiful region. World famous cities such as Florence, Siena and Lucca or the Leaning Tower of Pisa are easily accessible via the A11 motorway. Smaller gems such as Vinci (the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci with its Leonardo Museum) or the fashionable resort of Montecatini Terme are also nearby. In less than an hour you can reach the sea. The Tuscan coast is very popular with families because of its wide and clean sandy beaches. Our little guests will also appreciate a trip to the Pinocchio Park in Collodi or the Pistoia Zoo.
The city of Fucecchio is a real insider tip! In addition to a medieval old town, it offers an interesting museum and a historic park with two original towers from the time of Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa (c. 1122 -1190). In addition to this historic past, Fucecchio offers a wide selection of typical Tuscan restaurants, pizzerias, modern supermarkets and shops. There are sports facilities for tennis, golf or horse riding. Just 600 meters from your holiday home is the small village of Torre, which is therefore within easy walking distance. The rural restaurant "Circolo Torre" offers an espresso bar, pizza and regional dishes. Also just a stone's throw away ( km) is the quaint little shop "Ritrovino di Caino", where you can buy Tuscan delicacies, or have breakfast with an espresso or cappuccino and fresh croissants at one of the few small wooden tables. Here even bread and ham is sold on Sundays!
The resort and the village of Torre are located in the Parco delle Cerbaie Natural Park, which invites you to go for walks in the nature with its hiking trails. From these hills you have a beautiful view of the "Padule di Fucecchio", Italy's largest inland bog, where storks and a wide variety of waterfowl can be observed.

Formerly, this building housed the small elementary school of Torre, hence the name "La Scuola di Furio". Villa Maura was once a barn for hay and straw that has been completely refurbished. Great care has been taken to combine the rustic character of this typical Tuscan country house with modern comforts.
