Medulin was once a fishing village, today it is a modern tourist center that offers a dynamic and content rich holiday. Everything is geared to tourism. A bank, ATMs, post office, doctor's offices, pharmacy, vegetable market, car wash, a number of shops, souvenir and jewelry shops, hairdressing salons and galleries have been opened throughout the year. The entertainment possibilities are varied, from until the early morning open discotheques to dance terraces.
The unique one kilometer long sandy beach of Medulin, Bijeca, attracts families with small children. Nature lovers opt for the campsite, where they protect centenarians from the intense sun. Also friends of the naturist come in Medulin on their account, if they want the free contact with nature. If you are looking for a more comfortable accommodation, then family hotels or even hotels are offered by the sea, which are renewed again and again. Athletes, especially footballers and athletes, train mainly on the green areas of Medulin in winter.
The climate is ideal for the preparation during the winter months. The average daily temperature in January is degrees, which is beneficial for sports and recreation. The month of April averaging 11 degrees and the month of May averaging 16 degrees are the ideal weather for cycling or riding through these mostly flat landscapes. Here, in a place with a long fishing tradition, you will discover the pleasures of the local cuisine - crab salad, black risotto or Brodetto. If you would like to experience an adventure, then you drive to one of the small islands of the Medulin archipelago - Ceja, Levan or Bodulaš. Go fishing with local fishermen or dive into the silent underwater world. Maybe you prefer to look at everything from the air? Then there are panorama flights for you with a sports plane. Do not miss the former windmills by the sea or the archaeological site Vižule with remains of Roman villas, or take a walk to the ducks in the Medulin pond. The choice is varied, we leave the choice to you.
