The Holiday home

Villa Maïlys is a luxury villa for 10 people with stunning views and a private pool of 11 * 5m. Next to the pool is an nice pool house with a pizza oven and outdoor kitchen. From the covered terrace by the pool and terrace at the front of the house you will have a great view of the valley and the village of Lorgues. Here you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The house is spacious (265m2) with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. From all parts of the house you have a spectacular view of the surroundings.

Interior

Villa Maïlys is a beautiful villa with 265m2 habitable space. The house was recently built but by using lots of old materials (large wood beams and lots of natural stone), giving it a very attractive and authentic character.

The house has a spacious living room with large 10 person dining table. An open kitchen with an American fridge / freezer, dishwasher, 4-ring induction hob, microwave, oven, steam oven and a Nespresso coffee house has a floor cooling that can heat and cool, so the temperature is always constant. The property includes wifi internet.

In the living room there is a lovely sitting area with fire place, TV (satellite, int. channels), DVD player and stereo (with iPod connection). From the living room there are large sliding doors to the garden and terraces.

On the ground floor there are three bedrooms with all their own bathroom with shower and sink. On the first floor is the master bedroom with sliding doors to the balcony. There is a bathroom with large shower, freestanding bath, toilet and double washbasin. There is also a large dressing in this room, air conditioning and television.

Level minus one is a separate bedroom with a beautiful view of the entrance of the house which is a round square with an old olive tree. There is also a toilet and sink on this floor. In a separate room houses the washing machine and dryer on this floor.

Exterior

Villa Maïlys is a beautiful villa on one of the most beautiful locations of Lorgues on the road to Chateau de Berne. The house against the hill is overlooking Lorgues and the surrounding area. The villa is designed so that you enjoy the view on all the terraces, and while having no immediate neighbors above or next to the villa, there is a lot of privacy.

By a luxurious stone driveway you reach the private roundabout for the house with a century-old olive tree in the middle. The terrain is 5500m2, consists of several terraces and is beautifully landscaped with ancient olive trees and palms. There is a private pool of 11 * 5m. Next to the pool is an attractive pool house with a pizza oven and outdoor kitchen with gas stove, gas BBQ, plancha and a refrigerator. Around the pool and terrace there is a lawn with plenty of sun loungers. There is also an outdoor shower. There are two big terraces, one beside the house which is a covered terrace to eat in the shade by the pool and another sunny terrace with dining table in front of the house. There is also a trampoline and a swing for the children.

The property is located 1800 meters from the center, by car 3 minutes drive. To walk down it is a good walk to the center but up hill it is a decent climb. At the end of the Chemin de Berne (where the property is located), is the magnificent Chateau de Bernes with 2 restaurants, a spa and a beautiful wine cellar. This is about 1100 meters from the house.

The beaches on the Mediterranean and the natural beauty of the Gorges du Verdon are only 35 km away. In Lorgues and the surrounding medieval villages you will find interesting antiquities but also the attractive antique markets. You can feel the atmosphere of terraces below the characteristic ancient plane trees and the hospitable restaurateur with his famous Provencal cuisine. The Provencal market on Tuesday morning in Lorgues is really a must!

There are attractive possibilities for lovers of golf, hiking, canoeing, swimming, sailing, horseback riding.

Culinary, food and wine

Numerous bistros and restaurants in the area. We recommend the famous restaurant Bruno at Lorgues, known for its truffle-based specialties. The atmospheric café terraces are just the place to enjoy a glass of rosé under shady plane trees. There are plenty of local vineyards where the owners are happy to give you a tasting of their wines.
