The Holiday flat

Welcome to our ideally situated, first-line (the best location in the complex!), south-facing, extremely spacious (200 sqm) and light corner-first floor apartment, 'Madroño'. We also have a beautiful ground floor apartment in El Presidente that opens directly to a pool and which is suitable for those who require wheelchair access. Please see our own website for much more information and photographs (it is the name of our complex with .biz at the end!).
Our Madroño apartment offers an unbeatable combination of:
• Luxurious accommodation with a very spacious lounge that opens to the large main terrace; a large, very well equipped and recently refurbished kitchen; very comfortable beds and attractive bedroom suites!
* Recently refurbished bathrooms with a large walk-in shower and full size bath with shower.
* 42' LCD satellite television in lounge, 32' LCD televisions in both bedrooms, english language television channels, plus German, French, Scandinavian, Russian, Flemish and Spanish channels.
* The entire apartment has recently been redecorated.
* New sofas in the lounge.
• Personal service throughout your stay.
• FREE INTERNET ACCESS.
• 3 terraces, with sunloungers and dining table, overlooking the extensive sub-tropical gardens and main pool (always check the actual view of any apartment here in El Presidente!).
• Close direct access to the pools, beach, children's playground and 2 beach bar/restaurants.
• Five swimming pools, including one of which is scheduled to be heated for all of the winter and the main pool (that has just been refurbished) in front of us that is huge, lagoon shaped, and with an adjacent children's paddling area.
• Free use of our 4 tennis and 2 padel courts.
• Basketball court and football pitch.

It has been our second home and therefore benefits from immaculate decorations and furnishings, with all the comforts of 'home' available to our guests.
An added advantage of there being quite a few full-time residents like us who are so fortunate to be living here, including others with children, in El Presidente is that it never feels like a ghost town but is instead a warm and welcoming holiday destination!!

• Close to 20+ golf courses, many family activities and the Puerto Banus nightlife, for an ideal combination of peaceful relaxation and family leisure in one of the best and most prestigious complexes close to Puerto Banus, Marbella and Estepona. The lovely town of San Pedro is only a five minute drive from us where there are many great restaurants and tapas bars, especially along and close to the wonderful main pedestrianised main street and church square.

additional information about rental price:

The change-over day is usually a Saturday except in the low season.
The final clean of the apartment is included as long as the apartment is left in a tidy state and with all rubbish removed.
Good quality bed linen and towels for the bathroom are also included. For our own apartments, we can also supply towels for the pool.
Please note that 40 euros of electricity per week is included in the rental. This amount is quite sufficient for 99% of our guests however as unfortunately we have had one or two bad experiences where a visitor has left the heating or a/c on 24 hours a day (even with the windows open!) and the lights on all through the apartment including when they are not there, it has been necessary for us to mention it. We do hope that you will understand.

Cancellation terms:

We have found that in the past all of our guests who have had a problem have usually been able to give us sufficient notice for us to be able to re-book the apartment and on those occasions there has been no charge. Indeed if it a shorter time than this we will do our very best to re-book the apartment. If we are unable to do so then our guests have been able to either claim the cost of the holiday from their travel insurance or just pay the difference on what we are then able to obtain.

additional information

As we live in El Presidente with our family, we will be here to meet you personally and to escort you to your apartment, explain about it, the community and surrounding area.
Whilst we try to ensure the accuracy of all this information, we cannot be held responsible for the unavailability of any service or facility, maintenance work being carried out by the community or a neighbour, infestation, disturbance or loss especially when it is outside of our control although we will always do our best to assist and attempt to rectify issues as quickly as we can.
We also hope that all guests will treat the apartment and the neighbours with respect, abide by the rules of our community, inform us of any damage caused and on departure, to leave the apartment in a tidy state and with all rubbish removed please.
40 euros per week of electricity is included in the rental. This is quite sufficient for the vast majority of our guests but we have had a few costly experiences where guests have left the air-conditioning or heating on 24 hours per day, sometimes even with the windows wide open!
A damage deposit of either £200 or €200 in cash is requested on arrival.

As we live here in El Presidente with our family (we moved here 16 years ago after I had to take early retirement from teaching), we will meet you personally and escort you to your apartment where we explain everything and answer any questions that you might have. We will therefore also usually be on site should any emergency arise.
Hopefully you will be able to appreciate why El Presidente and our apartments are so special (we also have a lovely two bedroom ground floor apartment here should you prefer to have a private garden and/or easier accessibility).
