In the picturesque setting of the "Metallifere" hills, west of Siena, this characteristic stone-built house has been recently restored in keeping with the traditional style and character, with wooden beams and terra cotta floors, furnished in a comfortable rustic style equipped with all modern comforts such as satellite television, Wi-Fi internet access, dishwasher and washing machine.
In the spacious private garden guests have at their disposal an inviting 12 x 6 m - 1'40 m depth private swimming pool, available from May to October. The house is in a quiet, panoramic position surrounded by gentle rolling hills, which in the springtime are covered by a colorful carpet of flowers, enhancing the already magnificent panorama.
The hills stretch out as far as the Tuscan coast, discovering along their way, the sunflower fields, vineyards and olive groves, so typical of the area.

In the immediate vicinity there are delightful little medieval villages where you can re-discover ancient traditions and enjoy traditional local recipes, in the typical small restaurants. Belforte, a picturesque medieval village situated on an extremely panoramic hill at 550 m above sea level, lies approx. 1 km away, it is easily reachable on foot, and offers a grocery shop, a bar-restaurant and a post office.

A beautiful holiday home
We (two adults, 2 children) had a wonderful vacation. The house is very well equipped and the pool is a dream! The house is located on a very large property, surrounded by nature. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place and you won't want to leave in the end! However, it should be noted that Belforte is a bit remote and you will always have to drive a bit longer by car to visit the larger cities.
The picturesque village of Belforte is located on the hill behind the house and can be reached in 10 minutes via a small footpath through the forest (or of course by car on the road). In the small grocery store, you can get the essentials. For a larger shopping trip, it's better to drive to Colle Val d'Elsa. There are several large supermarkets there (reachable by car in about 25 minutes).
Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, etc. can also be easily reached by car (30-60 minutes).
The landlord lives above on the property (separated by bushes). Graziano is always available, gives good tips, and is very helpful. If we go on vacation in the region again, we will definitely stay at La Ripa again! We can only recommend it!
