Westenschouwen is a small quiet village in the western part of Schouwen-Duiveland.
Westschouwen has very different natural areas, long stretched beaches, wide dunes which pass into a forest landscape, called "de Boswachterij" the largest forest of Zeeland.
Unique because you can hear the surf of the sea everywhere. Beach cabins can be rented.
In "de Boswachterij" a permanent exhibition about the work of our fortune is to be admired.
Various hiking, cross-country and mountain bike routes can be found on the beach, dunes and forest paths.
Cozy restaurants and pavilions are always close by.
The "Oosterscheldekering" with the "Peilerdam" is only 1 kilometer away.
The small village of Burghsluis with the monument "Plompe Toren" is about 4 km.
Westschouwen is characterized by its beautiful beach and the only forest of Schouwen-Duiveland.
In short, Westenschouwen is peace and pure nature.
