Cosy holiday home, partly furnished with antiques. Large farmhouse parlour with tiled stove, fully equipped kitchen with dining area. A total of 4 bedrooms (1 single) each with shower/WC, 2 double rooms with additional sofa bed. In each bedroom there is a flat screen TV (SAT-TV)
In addition, a separate bathroom with bathtub, a guest WC.

The holiday home is located in the centre of Steinwiesen, a recognised climatic health resort in the Franconian Forest.
The village has approx. 1500 inhabitants and has a good infrastructure. Shopping facilities, petrol station, pharmacy, doctors, well-run inn, bakeries and daytime café are on site
There is an open-air swimming pool in the village and a small indoor swimming pool in the winter months. Sauna evenings are also offered regularly.

The Franconian Forest Nature Park, located in the north of Bavaria, has a pleasant, foehn-free low mountain climate. The landscape is characterised by panoramic plateaus, densely forested slopes, deep meadow valleys and rocky gorges. The Franconian Forest is certified as a hiking region and has been awarded the quality seal "Qualitätsregion Wanderbares Deutschland" by the German Hiking Association.
An extensive network of cycle paths and challenging routes with crisp climbs on signposted mountain bike routes mean that every cycling enthusiast gets their money's worth.
The 11 km hiking trail around the nearby Trinkwassertalsperre (approx. 3 km from Steinwiesen) offers peace and quiet, as all motorised vehicles are prohibited
Many day and city tours can be explored from Steinwiesen.

Frankenwaldhaus Steinwiesen
four of us stayed in this beautiful, spacious holiday home, which leaves nothing to be desired. The rooms are beautifully furnished and clean and well maintained, it is like being at home in another place.
the landlady is very nice and helpful.
recommend for: adventure and experience, seniors, holiday with children, cultural and sightseeing holiday
