Nature and excursions
Starting point for your walks and excursions will be the beautiful beach of Lindbergh. Here you can see nature in all its forms: dunes, sandy beaches, bays, meadows, capes, and cliffs can be seen.
At the different sea tides the landscape changes. The Cotentin Peninsula will delight you in every season. There is a wide range of signposted hiking trails, such as the GR223, the old customs route, or La Hague, old smuggling headquarters for France and England in the 17th to 19th centuries with up to 250km of marked trails.

sport and freetime
Near the sea, all nautical sports facilities are available. In Portbail or Barneville-Carteret you can sail, beach sail, paddle, kite surf, windsurf and canoe and kayak. Other sports facilities are: horseback riding, tennis, golf, cycling (bike rental in Portbail).
You can also book a cruise on an old sailboat (La Neire Mâove) or take a sea voyage to the Chausey and Ecrehous archipelagos or the Channel Islands of Jersey, Guernesey, Sercq, Herm and Aurigny.

History and culture
The Cotentin is a historic area with numerous castles (Bricquebec, Saint sauveur le vicomte, Crosville sur douve, Pirou), manors and capitals (Valognes), churches, cathedrals and abbeys (Canville la Roque, Portbail, Coutances, Mont saint Michel .. .). But also windmills (Fierville les mines), forts (Cap Lévi, Tatihou classified as a World Heritage by UNESCO, lighthouses (Gatteville), and picturesque harbor towns and villages.) You can also visit the Allied Foresland coast with their museums (Utha beach, Sainte Mère église, Saint Côme du mont).
Every year, various festivals take place (Jazz sous les pommiers ...). The light, colors and tranquility have inspired many artists whose houses you can visit (Jean-François Millet, Jacques Prévert). Not to mention the incomparable visit of Mont Saint Michel and the beautiful walks in the bay.

Parks and gardens
The Cotentin peninsula has its own microclimate thanks to the Gulf Stream. Evergreen, you will be surprised by the varied, even exotic flora. Several gardens or parks can be visited (Vauville, Jacques Prévert garden, les ravalets ...).

Gastronomy and land
The Normandy gastronomy is varied and different. From the sea :
Fish (seabream, turbot, rays, salmon, mackerel ...)
Crustaceans (lobster, crabs, oysters, clams, sea snails ...)
Farm products: lamb from the salt marshes, vegetables (carrots and porrée from Créances ...) Typical milk products (butter and cream from Isigny, Camembert, Pont-l'évêque, Livarot ...) and the famous teurgoule, rice pudding slowly over Wood fire is cooked. Not to mention the apple in the whole variety (Cider, Pommeau, Calvados).
For those with a sweet tooth, the Biscuiterie (La maison du biscuit, Quinéville ..) offers a wide selection of local specialties.
You will also find all these products in the region on the weekly markets, grocery stores and restaurants.

The markets
The markets are open from 8 am to 1 pm:
Monday Briquebec (charming, typical market)
Tuesday Portbail (about 3 km away with numerous offers)
