For anyone looking for privacy in wonderful rural surroundings, Villa Manzara is acknowledged to be the place set amongst mature almond, orange and fig trees in a big garden overlooking the bay of Selimiye. There are four apartments set in two villas side by side all having charming individual features such as exposed beams and stonework, open fireplaces, large private terraces for serving breakfast and sun decking in privacy. one of the apartments can be rented as two independent snmall apartments. Each of these units has one/two bedroom & livingroom and accommodate a couple or a small family, whilst the other three are much larger with one master bedroom and adjacent bedrooms sleeping up to six comfortably. The larger apartments provide three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two terraces and indoor and outside dining, air condition (split) for heating and cooling in all of the bedrooms. Each unit has its own kitchen facilities and large terraces with a pergola for serving breakfast and sun bathing in privacy. All the apartments have Satellite TV, radios, music sets, hairdryers, espresso and coffee machines. There is barbecue, dining and hobby terrace and village foods bar and for entertainment games, kites, fishingpoles, bikes and badminton set are provided. An ideal place with all the creature comforts, but in pleasant surroundings, offers many options. The complex has a large garden with comfortable recreational facilities.

Situated in the green and mountainous periphery of the tourism center of Marmaris, the villa is located 60 m. above sea level in the hills with a beautiful panaroma of the Selimiye bay. Its magnificent setting offers a majestic view of the Selimiye village and the surrounding almond and pine covered mountains, from where cool breezes bring relief even during the hot summer months.

Located in the Southern Aegean coast of Turkey, Selimiye is 40 km. south of Marmaris and is circa 140 kms. from the Bodrum and Dalaman International Airports. The village is one of the most relaxed and friendly spots in a country renowned for its friendliness. Down by the water the village seems to slumber in the day time, with the only flurry of activity caused by the arrival of a boat, or a delivery of fresh vegetables to one of the village shops. Climb the road from the Villa Manzara up to the oldest part of the village, take a glass of tea, sit back and watch the pattern of rural life unfold around you. Alternatively, do some exploring at the outskirts of Selimiye. Selimiye village has a lot of pastoral features like the farm animals you can touch and play with. Or try the local tastes and the fresh sea fruits. You can get lunch in one of the water side restaurants or enjoy the evening in an exotic bar. The whole area is ideal for walking or mountain biking. Our guests also choose to take the minibus to Marmaris for more sophisticated shopping or visit. Traditionally, the locals have made their living from fishing, farming and boat building, and these activities still govern the rhythm of life in the village.Our guests prefer to walk to Bozburun where you can see traditional wooden gulets being built. It is also worth exploring the interior of the Peninsula. There are waterfalls close by, with trout restaurants where the tables are set in the river. Right up in the mountains you will find the picturesque village of Bayir which is the place to buy honey and pistachio nuts.Historical ruins of Roman, Byzantium and Ottoman era are an integral feature of the locality just as the the beautiful inlets and islands which are encountered during the daily boat trips.

Additional Information

Transportation to and from the Dalaman and Bodrum Airports and car/motorcycle rentals can be arranged with the local agents. Our Hobby Terrace at the back garden is also being utilized for small parties & dining and painting (we provide the material), board games and open air cooking facilities. Nuran teaches our guests Ottoman cooking or the guests sometimes have friendly competition among themselves in international cooking. Occasionally Nuran shows up with her home made cakes, jams and other delights to add yet more vibrancy to the food. You can always find fresh vegetables, fish, calamari, eggs, meat and village bread, (every morning, we have fresh village bread brought to the Villa and groceries are fetched to the villa on demand) all made naturally and old fashioned way right in the village. Every Wednesday, there is a big marketplace in Selimiye and we have a friend in Turgut who sells special hand-wowen buldan textile.
