The quiet, hilly, panoramic area is only three kilometres from the beautiful medieval hamlet of Laterina. The lodgings enjoy countryside privacy, close proximity to the attractions and amenities of Arezzo; they are also the ideal base for many excursions to all Central Italy. Firenze, Siena, Cortona, lake Trasimeno and Perugia are not so far away; since there are good motorways and rail links with the rest of Tuscany .The shopping lover will find nearby many outlets of the most famous Italian fashion brands : such as Prada, Gucci, Fendi, D&G… This attractive accommodation has been created by the lovingly and painstaking renovation of a large an old farmhouse ( its originis goes back to 1600), situated on the left bank of the Arno river, near the ancient Sanctuary of Santa Maria in Valle, the origins of which date back to the late Middle Ages. A few kilometres from the house is the ancient hamlet of Laterina . The farmhouse, divided into 1 cottage and 4 apartments, is situated on the slopes of one of the many hills which make up the foothills of the high peaks of Pratomagno and which at this point gently descend towards the most important river in Tuscany. Few kilometers from the house, there is one of the most beautiful natural reserve of Tuscany :Valle dell'inferno adn Bandella , a true paradise for the natur lovers. The house is surrounded by a large garden area equipped with tables, chairs and canopies, where the swimming pool of 7 x 12 metres is situated. All the apartments have been tastefully furnished and are all provided with satellite TV. Laundry room with washing machine available for common use. Just three km from kilometres from the house is the ancient hamlet of Laterina .The territory where Laterina castle stands to day was inhabited ever since very ancient times, by Etrurian dwellings and then by roman settlements.In 1272 the nearby city of Arezzo took possession of Laterina, important for the high position over the Arno Valley, to hold up the expansion of the Repubblic of Florence in Valdarno.After a series of ups and downs, a treaty, that sanctioned the defeat of Arezzo, was signed in Laterina (1384), and the hamlet and its territories passed under the rule of the Republic of Florence.Nowaday its historical centre in perfectly preserved and lies on an hill that dominates the Arno plain. The ancient centre is made up of three parallel street : Via di Mezzo,that ends to the east with the Fortress and to the west with the Torre Guinigi. In the middle of the village there is a small square with the Church of San Ippolito and Cassiano.The village is very lively and it is possible to find there small typical italian food stores, a pharmacy,and an internet point.During summer time the municipality organizes many feast to remember the ancient origin of the village.

We also offer the possibility to rent bikes with all the necessary equipments.Cooking lesson than can take place in the kitchen of you holiday home, are available on demand. We also offer the possibility to book tailor made tours. And shopping tours. All the extra services had to be booked in advance (that is when you book the apartment) In high season (July and August ) rental is from Saturday to saturday only. Inthe other months we are more flexible. Rentes incluse: electricity, cold an hot water, bed linen, towels ,swimming pool towels (furnished only on request) cooking gas, .In winter heating is on consumpion ( Euro 4 M3) all the accommodation have individual heating system The rent doesn't'include: caution deposit (Euro 200,00 to be paid on cash on the arrival day and given back on the day of departure) final cleaning Euro 16 per person). No extra cost are asked for : extra cots, baby cots or high baby chair.
