Riad Puchka is located east from the Marrakech Medina, not far from the Ben Youssef Medersa, the Marrakech Museum, the Place Ben Salah and the East entrance of the souks covered market. * This exclusive location, at the heart of the old town, allows its privileged residents to immerse themselves in the life, odours and rumours of the medina and by the same time, to be able to satisfy their cultural interest, fulfil their curiosity or just materialize their shopping fancies. * This unique location also offers a very convenient access to Place Jeema el Fnaa, a landmark in Marrakech. * Golf courses can be easily reached by car, passing through the Town Doors : Bab Khemat, Bab Lalla Aouda Saadia and Bab Kechich. All rooms are air conditioned, heated and equipped with multi-channels TV. Description: Like most arabo-andalusian houses, the life of its guests is organized on two levels around a tree-planted courtyard. Galleries and arcade shaped frontages, are softly lightened, when night falls, by authentic mosque lanterns made in cast iron and contributing to the coherence and harmony of the Moroccan spirit of the place. The water pool set in the center of the courtyard, leaves plenty of space in the angles for splendid palm-trees. GROUND-FLOOR : - Once he has walked trough the traditional entrance designed for preserving the intimacy of its inhabitants, the visitor is surrounded by colonades displayed around the tree-planted courtyard. * Guest toilet with warm dark-red lime walls. * A vast courtyard/garden (100 m2), paved with pale pink floors made in clay tiles (“beijmats”) from Meknes region, adorned with wall patterns in “zelliges” (typical ceramic tiles) and planted with palm-trees and yuccas. * A water pool which can be used as a pool (7m x3m) of a transparent blue color, festooned with zelliges and lighted by night. * A flowered fountain sculpted in a “Lion’s Jaw” shape. *The Jacussi near the swimming-pool can be used the whole year round as a relaxing Jacuzzi with heated water in winter as wall as a refreshing spot in summer heats. * An open air with a small lounge situated under the gallery, with a European style meal corner and bar. (deck chairs upon request). * Room n°1 containing a detachable double bed, a bathroom (shower) in typical “tadelakt” (a smooth decorative covering) and decorated in zellige in hammam-style. * A Hammam "Turkish-bath" * A kitchen. FIRST FLOOR * Rooms on the first floor of Riad Puchka are serviced by large galleries similar to the ground-floor galleries with Moorish pillars. * The big suite: in the same terracotta color than Ourika landscapes, with a fireplace, a big double bed, a large green painted bathroom (tube) made in tadelakt in hammam-style with a brick cupola, decoration in “zellige” (marrocan ceramic tiles), toilet. * Room n°2: it contains a detachable double bed and a large bathroom with a tube in “tadelakt” (a smooth decorative covering), a wall pattern (or : frieze) in zelliges, toilet. * Room n°3: room with two single beds, with a bathroom in “tadelakt” (shower basin), toilet. TERRACES * Riad Puchka’s guests can enjoy 3 terraces : - The upper terrace “with a barbecue place” commands a superb panoramic view of the Medina, the Atlas mountains and the “jebilets”. Breakfast can be served on this terrace. - Meals are usually served on the terrace. - Small gym club “covered” under which 2 comfortable sofas welcomes the visitor for his good being, with bathroom “shower and toilets”, small kitchenette. - Another covered room : billiard room. - Laundry, kitchenette, heating room and service storage rooms
