Haliburton County is an area described as a "Natural Work of Art". Haliburton County is located in a forested area with lakes around every bend in the road. It has also become known for the local artisans who work in their studios located in remote areas throughout the County. These artisans are happy to show their wares on an appointment basis throughout the year and have a studio tour in late September and early October. Haliburton County is also the home of the Haliburton Forest with the Walk in the Clouds, Wolf Preserve and Information Centre, and submarine tours. The only remaining log chute in Ontario has recently been restored and is open to the public for viewing. A world class white water kayaking facility is also just a 12 minute drive from this property.
