During summer, throughout the surrounding area, there are numerous cultural and food/wine festivals, concerts, variety shows and other events. From Zambrone, all are within easy reach. The firework displays launched from Zambrone beach in August are famous far and wide. A regular morning & afternoon transfer to & from Zambrone beach and station is available at a small daily charge (per person). Zambrone railway station connects to Tropea, Vibo Marina, Pizzo, Parghelia, Capo Vaticano and farther a field. Tropea 10km, Pizzo 18km, Capo Vaticano 20km. Nearby, Zambrone beach is a 1.5 km long stretch of golden sand with crystal clear waters and a whole host of attractions; jet skis, pedalos, beach volleyball, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, keep fit & dance clubs, cabaret etc. Sun beds and shades can be rented on the beach or from LA CLARA. In August the likely sea temperature is a tropical 30 C/86F. In late October 25C/77F. AQUAPARK ZAMBRONE is a huge water adventure complex featuring numerous slides, fountains, water plumes, rapids and even a surf ride facility. Entrance can be obtained on a daily or weekly basis and includes access to all the attractions, free cabaret and music. A range of refreshments is on offer and there is no need to leave the park once you have arrived. LA CLARA offers discounted entrance. For football fans, Zambrone is within easy reach, by car or train, of several Serie ‘A’ teams. Lecce, Reginna, Palermo, and Messina and they all play Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma, Lazio etc, at home, at least once a season. Reggina is the most convenient to reach by car or train (less than 100km). Tickets can normally be purchased on the day for about E30.00 but may cost up to E60.00, with pre-booking needed, for top games against Milan or Juventus forexample. The stadium holds just under 30,000 and the atmosphere is fantastic!! There is a beautiful 9 hole golf course 30 mins drive from Zambrone and plans for a golf driving range in Zambrone itself.
