Several centuries old "maison de caractère". Outside and inside completely renovated. 72 m². Bedroom with French bed (two persons).Two rooms with single bed. A 5th person is possible for 50.- € a week (Folded bed with 6 cm-mattress). Big livingroom (stereo with several classic and jazz CDs).Many English and German Audio-cassettes (mainly novels) and about 200 German, English and French books.3 radios with CD and Cassette-Decks. Very effective electric heating! Modern kitchen (coffee-percolator, micro-wave, blender and universal cutter). Balcony with view on Roman bridge and medieval town. Laundry, dry-room, washing machine, deep-freezer, cellar. Two simple old bikes (three gears) and two racing bikes (frames 57 & 62 cm) can be used on your own responsibility. Children's bed (L 125 cm/W 60 cm / H 75 cm) available.

The house is in a calm lane (cul-de-sac)in the center of Vaison. At night it is absolutely quiet(!).The balcony offers a lovely view on the Roman bridge and the medieval town south of the river Ouvèze. Two supermarkets and Aldi & Lidl. Tennis nearby! The town is situated about 30 km to the east of Orange and Avignon. 5 1/2 thousand inhabitants.Lovely region for hiking-tours right in the middle of the "Côtes du Rhône Villages" fields. Only 13 km from the famous Mont Ventoux ! Bathing-possibilities: Lac de Paty (15 min.), Pont du Gard (45 min.), Ardèche (1 hour), Seaside (1.5 hours).Open air swimming pool in the town-center. Huge area with Roman ruins; Concerts of all kinds in the Roman "Théâtre Antique" and in the Cathedral.

Price per week : 350.- € in July & August.250.- € during the rest of the year. From October to April electricity on extra charge, but 10 Kw per day are free! Owner lives next house, otherwise our French neighbour Jacques helps you with everything. Please bring along your bed-linen and clean house yourself when leaving.
