Casabasciana is one of 20 villages of Bagni di Lucca (9kms distant), which has all amenities, including thermal spa, alternative therapy centre, swimming pool complex, tennis courts, English library. Walking trails in the mountains. It is 45 minutes from Lucca (a wonderful medieval town), an hour and a half from Pisa and Florence (airports). Recommendations for local restaurants, banks, food shops, post offices, swimming complex, tennis, local thermal spa and alternative therapy centre, places of interest, etc will be found in English in the house.

Casabasciana is on a mountainside 4kms from SS12 to Abetone (ski resort). It is 500 metres above sea level. Wonderful views of Appenines and Apuans, woods and fields (not fromhouse). It is an ancient village, stone built houses with stone paved streets, parking on the perimeter. There is a general store (with butcher) and a bar. A good restaurant 2kms downhill. About 100 permanent residents, more in summer when people return to their family houses. A car is essential.A car is essential.
