Lovely countryside of Småland at its best: you have a great view over \"your own lake\", beautiful surroundings with traditional meadows, grazing land, forests, ancient remains almost everywhere, no neighbours or cars can be seen or heard, it feels like in Bullerbü... The house is originally from the 19th century, but has been adapted to modern times repeatedly. So now you have both traditional wood stove and electrical stove at you disposal in the kitchen, which has otherwise flair of the 50ies. In the spacy living room you have a wood stove as well. The living room is with its four windows from east to west very bright all day and you have two windows facing the lake. There is one more, minor room with couch and chairs and a stereo. Toilet/WC is placed in a rather recently built annex, accessable from the house and with an additional own entrance. Via a narrow and steep staircase you enter the attic, which has been only partly renovated. So there is a big sleeping room with 2+2 beds with window to the lake and another tent-like sleeping cabinet, sheltered by a simple draperi. Please observe that this house is completely and well equipped, but the furnishing is of simplier and older style as in the other houses of this homepage. Take a look at the pictures and you can also see a blueprint of the house here. The farm has a beautiful courtyard which is hard to find in nowadays Sweden. It is a great environment for both children and adults, with lots of space and many things to discover. You can find reminiscences of house grounds, charcoal piles, tar piles, etc and you can take apples from 50 year old appletrees in the garden. Of course there is a fireplace, BBQ, garden furniture and a rowboat at your disposal. The price per week is 4 800:- SEK or 750:- per day if you book shorter periods than a week. Boat, wood, electricity and water are included. You clean up the house before you leave or order cleaning in advance for 700:-SEK. If you should cancel a booking, you\'ll get back already paid money reduced by a bookingfee of 500 SEK. You need to have your own towels and bedsheets with you. Smoking in the house and on the ground are not allowed, sorry. The distance to Vimmerby / Astrid Lindgrens World is 26 km and the closest village with shops, restaurangs, bank etc is Hultsfred, ca 15 km nearby. Read more at www.basebo.se!
