Homepage LOW FATRA - Rajec Valley Accommodation for families with children in private holiday house in the country The house is equipped with 2 attic rooms with three beds + 1 extra bed each, and a common room with a fireplace, a TV set, SAT, and a HiFi-tower on the ground floor. The kitchen with complete equipment and a child seat, like a separate WC, a bidet, a shower and a hall, are designed for more persons. In the summer the visitors may use the garden seating capacity by the open fireplace, in the winter the ski depository, and there is also a bicycle shed for cyclists. The house also has its own parking place for two cars in a green piece of land with garden plants with the total area of 740 m2. The external typical sauna in the yard is operated throughout the year and heated with an electrical stove. The sauna is equipped with a cold water shower. In winter the sauna users can make use of snow in the yard or the shower with hot and cold water inside the Borka holiday house. The accommodation capacity is 6 persons + 2 extra beds for adults or for children. The accommodation cycles in high season are 7 or 14 days long. The price per person and night is € 90.00 = SK 3,000 in the summer and the winter high seasons or € 75.00 = SK 2,500 off-season (in spring and in autumn). Off-season accommodation for fewer than 7 nights is also possible. The object is new, built in the style of our grandparents, timber-framed. In winter gas central heating comfortably heats the whole house.

The "Bôrka" holiday house is situated in the picturesque valley between the Low Fatra and the Strážov Hills at the edge of the small village of Fačkov (536 m above sea level) in the middle of a peaceful, clean and virgin piece of mountainous land. The recreation house is designed for picturesque nature lovers, village tourists and horse riders in natural environment.

The village is situated in the picturesque surroundings of the village of Čičmany and Rajecká Lesná, popular for their natural beauties, cultural and sporting facilities. The summer house was built in the years 1999-2000 of high-standard building materials with special attention to the comfort of the accommodated. The building is nicely furnished with massive wooden (spruce) furniture, a hot-air fireplace, as well as gas central heating and hot water heated in a gas boiler. Smoking is prohibited in all spaces of the holiday house. The building is equipped with fire extinguishers to be used in case of emergency. You will spend a pleasant holiday in the house with your family any time of the year. Rajecká dolina is one of the nicest valleys in Slovakia and the starting point of trips to the surroundings full of attractive sights worth visiting. The house can be hired in one-week cycles beginning and ending on Saturdays, or for a longer period based on the week cycles. The building includes a safe and sufficiently large space for putting aside the skiing equipment. The house is accessible by car, which will also find a safe place to park. CONNECTION: There is a good connection from nearly all parts of the world to our capital city of Bratislava, or to the Schwechaty airport in Vienna. Direct bus and train connection is provided from Vienna to Bratislava and further to Žilina. You will get to our village from Žilina with the Žilina - Prievidza or the Žilina - Čičmany bus lines. There are tourist routes (the rocky range of Kľak 1351m above sea level), and thermal pools Veronika and Laura (Rajec, Rajecké Teplice) offering spa procedures and other services for the public. The most popular village in the surroundings called Čičmany offers a skiing centre, typical painted wooden huts and a large museum collection of traditional costumes, shoes and tools for various crafts. Unusual experiences prepared for the guests include the "carnival" feast with typical masks, folk costumes, and unique atmosphere full of joy, culminating with the festival of "burying the double bass", in the beginning of the fast period (7 weeks before Easter). In the surroundings of Fačkov there are various historical monuments, tourist sights and natural beauties offering lots of possibilities for foot trips. The town of Bojnice nearby (30 km away) offers a zoo and a chateau with its own ghosts. The absolute gemstones of the Rajec Valley include hand-cut wooden Cribs with moving figures, one of the largest in Europe. In addition to accommodation the Fačkov region offers all sorts of facilities for tourism and winter sports in the surrounding mountain regions. Vrátna Valley is one of the most popular winter sports centre of Slovakia. The Low Fatra with Kriváň (the highest mountain of the range) is known for excellent snow conditions and popular skiing centres (Martinské hole, the dominant of Kysucké Beskydy called Veľká Rača with its complicated routes for ski running, or the terrain of Čičmanská Valley, Frivald Valley (Rajecká Lesná) and Fačkov pass of the Strážov Hills) for advanced and beginnerskiers. There are good technical conditions for down hill skiing, ski running, sledging, walks and winter foot tourism, including well marked paths and slopes and routes with levelled terrain. All winter centres offer complex services for visitors, including ski service, skiing schools, sports equipment rent, first aid centres and health centres. The location of Fačkov between the mountain ranges makes it easily accessible by transport. It is very pleasant to take a rest after sport in the sauna.
