Charming cottage located in the western end of Sao Miguel island, above the small village of Ginetes and 300 m above the sea level. Very quiet location, in rural environment and with a beautiful sea view. To the nearest beach (Mosteiros) is 10 driving minutes. The lake at the crater of Sete Cidades is 2 walking hours or 10 driving minutes distant. In Ginetes you find a supermarket, a bank teller, post office and chemist, as well as Ferraria, with lava formations and a hot seawater spring. The capital city Ponta Delgada, with its international airport and all sorts of shopping facilities is 25 km. The recently built cottage (100 m² living area) is located in its own grounds of 2,700 m², with a magnificent sea view. A wide open space accommodates living room with satellite TV, radio/CD-player, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. There is one double room (bed 180 x 200 cm) and one twin room (beds 90 x 200 cm). The light coloured bathroom includes a bathtub. In garden, one finds place for games, grilling and evening relaxation. There are two parking spaces in front of the property. If required, you can use wash machine and dryer in the nearby owners' laundry room. In general, a welcome package with food and drinks for the first evening and the first breakfast are stocked in the refrigerator, and charged separately. Please advise if you do not wish to have this welcome package. Air conditioning/heating available, fee applies. Between November and April, heating costs of EUR 50 per week to be paid locally. Owners rent two mountain bikes. Pets not allowed. Non smoking house. Sleeps 4 persons, self catering.

On the south-west of São Miguel island, 25Km from the azorian capital, Ponta Delgada, is located a small village called Ginetes. A church, a coffe shop, a post office and a fire brigade bild the character of this nice village. In five minutes walking you will find everything. Right in the centre of Ginetes there is a new road to "Ferraria", where you can bath in a hot water source (thermal spring) whenever there is a low tide. You will also find from Ginetes, several ways to start beautiful walks. There you can enjoy one of the most lovely lighthouses in the island, and you will get there in 15 minutes walking. It is also possible to book a visit to this lighthouse.
