Bed & Breakfast Los Castros is small in scope, but has much to offer that you will not find elsewhere. We are located right on the trail GR130. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Our guests are welcomed with a drink. You can have dinner with us, cook your own meal in the guests kitchen, or use our barbecue. For walkers we can provide transportation to the start or end of the walk and lunch to take. Our two rooms have two single beds each, which of course also can be linked. Each room has a private bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. The views of the ocean and the neighboring village of Gallegos is beautiful.
Town and location of object
The area of Franceses can best be explored by foot. Given the situation in the protected area of the north coast, days of hiking fun are guaranteed. The property gives direct access to the network of marked hiking trails on La Palma. The terrain is mountainous, the views breathtaking. The trail leads up along the coast to Barlovento in the east, to Santo Domingo in the West or South, into the mountains.

The north, where our Finca is situated, is still a virgin territory. Electricity was introduced here in the seventies of the last century, when most roads were trails in those days. Roads have been improved since then, therefore you can travel from the airport to Franceses in about 1 hour and 15 minutes now. However, the area retained its charm and tranquility. The last 15 km of the road wind through canyons (Barranco's) and across mountain ridges, there is not much traffic here. The views, on the right the ocean, on the left the mountains and Barranco's, are breathtaking. But keep your attention to the road, there is always the chance to encounter a herd of goats.Arrival and distances

Small B & B right on the GR130-trail in Franceses, in the north of La Palma. With its beautiful location a great place for walkers, as a starting point for many beautiful walks or place to stay for the night for travellers who walk around the island.
