Oxford, Blenheim and Stratford-upon-Avon are all popular day excursions. London is about 2 hours away.

From London: Leave the M4 at Exit 18 and take the A46 North towards STROUD. After 12 Miles take a left at the traffic lights and junction with the A4135 towards DURSLEY. After about two miles, past the Hunters Hall at KINGSCOTE, take the second fork on the right sign posted to ULEY. Continue straight on after the crossroads with the B4058 into ULEY, turning right up the hill into the village. At the small green past the Old Crown pub, you will see OWLPEN sign posted to the right, one mile. After one mile of travelling down a country road you will approach Owlpen Manor on the left hand side. Do not take any of the minor forks but continue on the country road for another 300 yards where you will approach Blacknest on the left hand side.

Owlpen is a beautiful English hamlet consisting of a Manor House, church and about 10 cottages in a remote wooded valley in the Cotswold hills.
It is beautiful, quiet and surrounded by beech woods. Idealy placed to walk or tour the South of England.
