Castagnatello is a delightfully restored traditional Country House immersed in the Tuscan countryside, wonderfully situated between the luscious Amiata Mountain and the enchanting Val d’Orcia. Castagnatello, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, offer breathtaking views of the nearby hilltop hamlet of Seggiano and Amiata mountain. This imposing Tuscan country house has 5 independent apartments furnished to high standards, offering panoramic terraces or access to the lovely garden to enjoy meals outside. There is as well a luxurious infinity swimming pool of 16x8 metres (53x25 feet) with its own bathroom and shower, a Tasting House to sample local gastronomy and a BBQ for customer use. The 5 apartments are independent are for: 7 people (Castagno Apartment), 6 people (Vigna apartment), 4 people (Ulivo apartment), 2 people (Ginestra and Quercia apartments). This advert is about the Ginestra and Quercia apartments: QUERCIA apartment - for 2 people, with one bedroom, bathroom, spacious living room with open plan kitchen and a large panoramic terrace with magnificent views of the hilltop town of Seggiano and of the surrounding Countryside. GINESTRA apartment - for 2 people, with one spacious bedrooms, bathroom, living rom with open plan kitchen and a covered patio with direct access to the panoramic garden. The apartments are spacious and if requested extra sngle beds can be added (at an extra cost of 30 euro/night). Castagnatello Country House is wonderfully located between the luscious Amiata Mountain and the enchanting Val d'Orcia. If you enjoy culture and sightseeing the nearby towns of the Val d'Orcia are a fantastic option: Val d'Orcia is renowned for its traditions, gastronomy and fine wines - and every historical Tuscan town has something beautiful to discover: you will enjoy exploring villages like the romantic Pienza, renowned for its cheeses, Bagno Vignoni knownd for its Roman Spa, the medieval Montalcino and Montepulciano where hidden cellars in narrow streets offer superb wine tasting, and Rocca d'Orcia with its imposing ancient Castle still dominating the valley. If you are looking for nature and sport activities, the nearby Monte Amiata is a wildlife rich natural park with several walking, bicycle trails and BBQ areas. During winter the Amiata Mountain is an excellent spot for snowy winter sports: there are 12 ski lifts, 12 downhill trails and 4 cross country trails.

Within the Castagnatello Country House there is a delightful Tasting House to give our custmers the possibility to sample and enjoy delicious local gastronomy and some of the finest Tuscan wines. Local products include local cheeses, cured meats, delicious chestnut honey and our own delicate cold press olive oil, obtained from the Olive tree variety 'Olivastra Seggianese', endemic of the Seggiano area. Tuscany and the Val d'Orcia are renowned for their fine wines. Some of the best wines produced in our area include: Brunello di Montalcino, Nobile di Montepulciano and Montecucco. Visits to wine producer estates and cellars to get to know better the local wine tradition and to do some first class tasting can be arranged upon request.
