The house has a lot of space for group, there are 180 m2 on the ground floor and 180 m2 upstairs
The house was built in 1729. In former times the parlour was one of the three bakeries in the village. The dining room was the post office
The walls are made of clay, we try to keep the character of the house and do not modernize it. (our guests say: "it's like at grandma's)
In the garden is our bungalow, which was the pub of the village
In the past, the horses used to stand in the barn to pull the lorries up from the valley of the river Bode

Location and surroundings of object
The house is a forest and a river flows (Bode). In this part of the village, there are 11 houses. 180 people live in the village. There is a large terrace, you can go out and walk out of the house into the woods. It is very quiet because the path does not go on, only the people of the village come by. The house is very large, there are also opportunities to many people to find peace Neuwerk is a village in the town of Upper am Brocken in the Harz. Sehr tolles haus und super Garten!
Alles vorhanden, es feht nichts!
Sehr schone Garten mit sofa, grill und feuerplats.
2 badezimmer mit dusche und nog einer mit bad.
Es war super, wir kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder!

If you expect pure luxury, you are in the wrong place. However, the house is equipped with everything a person/people need. Such an old building cannot appear sterile, but it is absolutely clean. The price-performance ratio is great.
The communication with the landlord is excellent!
If you want to relax in the remotest corner of civilization, this is the right place! However, you should organize yourself well without a car!

Very cozy and absolutely nice landlords!
The house is quaint and very cozy. Not modern, but still completely functional. You feel transported back to grandma's times. The landlords are totally nice and uncomplicated. Can only be recommended!

free time activities: Mit dem Auto gibt es viele Möglichkeiten die Umgebung zu erkunden und der Harz hat einiges zu bieten.
shopping facilities: In direkter Umgebung gibt es keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten,
man ist auf ein Auto angewiesen.

Abends an der Feuerstelle Stockbrot und mystische Geschichten, toll :)

shopping facilities: Ohne Auto schlecht aber dafür Ruhe um abzuschalten. Für mich ein großes Kriteruim.

Beltane is a traditional Gaelic festival marking the beginning of summer. It is celebrated on May 1st and includes bonfires and dancing.
We were staying with a group of 4 people at this accommodation for Beltane, of course there were also other visitors there. The contact beforehand by email was always very polite and nice. Also when we arrived there, we were warmly welcomed and shown everything.
If you don't necessarily need modernity and prefer a cozy atmosphere, this is the perfect place for you. The grounds are well maintained and the hosts are very friendly.
If we visit Beltane or Kreuzmühle again, we will definitely stay there again.
