River Cottage is a spacious 2 bedroom cottage in a small hamlet just 10 minutes drive from Castanheirad de Pera town. The cottage has two large double bedrooms, a separate modern bathroom with shower, toilet and vanilty unit. A large modern kitchen with fitted cupboards, electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. All crockery pots and pans are provided. There is a large open plan lounge dining room, with two comfortable sofas, coffee table, satellite tv and dvd player, a dining table and four chairs. Outside there is a garden, terrace and BBQ area and private parking.

Campelo - only a 3 minute drive which has a cafe bar, small mini mercado, postoffice and popular trout farm/restaurant. Castanheira de Pera - only a 10 minute drive which has shops, mini supermarkets, bar/cafes, restaurants, chemist, bakery, post office, two banks, medical centre and Praia das Rocas (open air swimming pool with wave machine). Alge - less than a 5 minute drive, village social club with bar/restaurant and praia fluvial (river beach). Louçainha -only a 12 minute drive, praia fluvial (river beach) and cafe bar/restaurant.

River Cottage is located on the north side of the village and is accessed via a narrow hard surfaced road between two south facing properties.
