PROPERTY DETAILS
Originally a barn, the property has been lovingly renovated to a very high standard whilst still retaining all its character. All the six bedrooms have oak beams and exposed stone work along with en-suite showers and basins.
The open plan living / dining area has a wealth of oak beams, a large open-tread staircase, an enormous fireplace and is wonderfully light and airy as the original barn doorway has been retained and glazed.
THE GROUND FLOOR consists of a fully equipped 25m² kitchen including 2 sinks, a giant stainless steel gas oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, coffee maker, toasters, a store room and sufficient crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils for 16 people. A utility area with an automatic washing machine, iron and ironing board leads to the ground floor toilet. The open plan 85m² living room has a large dining area and plenty of seating around the fireplace. A doorway leads onto a shady covered veranda with an additional dining area and a barbecue for eating outdoors. The double bedroom has its own en-suite shower room with shower, toilet and basin.
THE FIRST FLOOR consists of a large landing (with a further toilet) leading to two double bedrooms and three family roms. All these rooms have en-suite showers and basins and panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.
OUTSIDE there is ample parking at the back of the gîte. Extensive gardens and lawns surround the building with plenty of space for ball games, plus a boules court, a table-tennis table and the swimming pool. There are a further 9 acres of meadow and woodland to explore including a small fishing pond and a 300 year old oak tree.
EQUIPMENT
The gîte is equipped to a high standard with full oil fired central heating installed throughout the building. It has a colour TV with digital satellite TV available, a hi-fi, DVD and a telephone, a large selection of books plus card and board games.
All the bedding is provided as are a cot and high chair.
An optional end of stay cleaning service is available on request.

Our property is a recently renovated barn set in 9 acres of land in a quiet rural location on the edge of a small village - Le Pontreau - in a wooded valley. It is the ideal location for anyone seeking peace and tranquillity and a superb base for the more energetic who wish to go walking, mountain biking, horse riding, canoeing and fishing.
