Lovingly restored over many years, Casa Christina has a rare charm and a special atmosphere which surrounds you from the first moment when you reach the house. The care and attention to detail in every corner of the house and the outside area makes Casa Christina an oasis of calm that you don't want to leave. The house is located in the Eastern Algarve in a little village called Mesquita, 5 min drive from São Brás de Alportel. It lies in the midst of a rural landscape and the green hills of the hinterland. The beaches of the Ria Formosa and the cities of Faro or Tavira, are each 30min drive. The center of the house is a tastefully furnished, open living and dining room with integrated kitchen. With large windows overlooking the garden turnes this room bright and friendly. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering with stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, kettle, coffee maker and toaster, etc. From the kitchen you have access to a shady terrace, equipped with stonetable and seats. On the ground floor there are one double bedroom one twin bedroom (with access to the pool terrace), each with adjoining bathroom with shower & WC. In the entrance there is also a small library room with German and English books. In the living room there is satellite TV and CD player. An external staircase from the pool terrace leeds to the first floor with the third bedroom (two single beds). There is also a small showerroom with toilet. In front of the bedroom is a covered terrace overlooking the pool and garden to the hills of the hinterland. All rooms are equipped with mosquito nets and fans. The vast terrace behind the house has a pergola, shaded by a magnificent bougainvillea, underneath is a barbecue with another dining table and chairs. The garden is lavishly planted and when you grill fresh fish, you can pick your own lemons from the lemon tree in front of the house. In the middle of the garden there is a large 8m x 4m pool, which includes a separate pool house with shower and toilet. Casa Christina is indeed an idyllic retreat for relaxing holidays. Our friendly Portuguese neighbor is taking care for the pool maintenance and cleanliness of the house and outdoors. She comes once a week for house cleaning and the laundry. This service with weekly linen change is in the price included, so that our guests can enjoy a truly carefree holiday. We look forward to your visit!

The house is centrally located: Apart from the pretty market town of Sao Bras, there is the historic roman village Estoi (15 min drive) and to the towns of Faro, Tavira and to the beaches you drive each half an hour. So you can enjoy diversifying holidays, either with beach stays, town trips or descovering the hilly hinterland. You can do beautiful walks, starting directly from the house. However, many guests just don't want to leave Casa Christina and simply enjoy the peace and silence from house and garden and refreshing dips in the pool.

Casa Christina lies in the rural village of Mesquita and is surrounded by a green landscape of orange groves and vineyards. The nearest supermarket can be found only 3min drive from the house in the well stocked supermarket Intermarche. The small town of Sao Bras is 5 min drive away. There are restaurants, cafes, some shops, pharmacy, doctors, post office, bank, gas station and etc. And of course there are market stalls for fresh fish, fruit and vegetables.
