Allow yourself the time and luxury to spend one day hiking in the mountains, sitting down on a stone warmed by the sun and letting your soul relax. Look at the mountains in the distance and breathe the fresh air. Listen to the silence, enjoy the freedom and the colours. When you come to a mountain creek, cup your hands and drink of the clear and cold water. With some patience and luck you will encounter elk, fox, grouse and golden eagle. This is one aspect of Sälen during the long, light summer days. But Sälen also offers adventure, activities, good food, entertainment and dance. You can go canoeing in the morning and play golf after a lunch in the cabins or at a restaurant. Try your luck in fishing and catch your own dinner in one of the many fishing-waters . There is also "put and take" fishing, which means that you pay for the fish you catch. Fishing rods can be rented. Rent a horse or a mountain bike and spend a day in the mountains. For the children there are summer tobaggan, go-cart, pony riding and water adventures with or without water slides. Sälen offers a gentle wilderness and safe adventures for children of all ages. Go hiking on your own or join hiking-tours with leaders. You will find 200 km of marked hiking routes. Other activities which are offered in Sälen in the summer time are walking tours to chalets, beaver safaris, river rafting, clay-pigeon shooting and berry-picking (cloudberries, blueberries, raspberries and lingonberries

It is 3 typical swedish timber-cottages , fully equipped with electrical heating, shower, WC, electric drying cupboard, open fireplace, TV, Sauna, micro-owen, coffe machine, etc. It is a quiet "holiday village" where your children can play on the hillocks behind the house. In Hundfjället-Tandådalen you will find one of the largest and most complete ski establishments and lift systems in Scandinavia. If you appreciate fun, varied skiing, there is no doubt - it's here you should come this winter. There you will find possibilities for both cross-country and down hill skiing. You have 53 pistes to choose between, in all points of the compass and degrees of difficulty. From the slopes for children to the Wall, the steepest piste in Scandinavia. In addition, there are two "Snowboard Lands". 35 km prepared cross-country tracks, illuminated ski tracks and 200 km marked out tracks, offer you many enjoyable hours in the beautiful nature.
