It is an 19th-century stone building with three floors (100 square metres approximately)
In short, the house is made up of: 1 large kitchen with fireplace, 1 living room (with a sofa bed), 2 bedrooms (1 queen-bed room and 1 twin-bed room), 1 bathroom (shower), and 1 laundry (pantry) room. The front door takes you into the hall, where there are the kitchen (on the left side), the living room (on the right) and the stairs, which leads to the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. The house is nestled on a hill, with three floors on one side and two on the other; therefore at the ground floor there is another room (with independent entrance) which is used for a laundry. From the patio, you can go to the private garden (approximately 100 square metres), where there are a table, chairs, sun-umbrella, and BBQ.
The house is fully furnished with all new or antique pieces (Tuscan pieces from the 18th and 19th centuries). We have provided a television (satellite), DVD, radio and CD player. Unfortunately, we have not yet installed a telephone (there is a public phone in town if you don't have a mobile), but telephone, computer, and internet access are available at our office (not more than 50 metres away). A central heating system (oil-fired) has also been installed. And, naturally, a working fireplace adorns the kitchen, as how would a mountain house be complete without one !

The area is ideal for hiking, horseback riding (there are two stables where you can rent horses), and biking. There are also many other places worth visiting around Pascoso, where the owner, an eminent medical doctor, and his wife, would be pleased to accompany their guests.
Activities: Fishing, Hiking, Horseback Riding, Hunting, Restaurants Onsite, State/Regional Park, Tennis Nearby.Furthermore, the house is situated under an hours drive from many of Italy’s finest and most picturesque golf courses, such as Golf Alisea - 32km -30 mins (5 holes promotional golf course), Montecatini Golf Club - 37 km -35 mins (18 hole golf course of natural beauty that has been built in the hilly countryside.Golfers are faced with many natural hazards such as lakes, streams, forests, and ditches which are all formed from the natural contours of the land), Club Golf Montelupo - 40 km -40 mins, Tirrenia Golf Club (9 hole), Cosmopolitan Golf & Country Club (18 hole) and Golf Club Fontevivo (18 hole).
Pascoso is an ideal stay for nature's lovers. However, it is not far from the "cities of arts" of Tuscany (Lucca,Pisa,Florence,Siena, etc., and beaches (Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio, which are among the most famous Italian beaches) are no more than 30 miles far.
Pascoso's finest asset, and the most important reason to travel there, is the nature in which it is literally immersed. Pascoso is a hiker's paradise: you can walk all day long without meeting a soul. As you may have already imagined, the only sounds you'll hear in Pascoso are dogs barking and townsfolk chatting. Quiet reigns through the mountainside. The area is ideal for hiking, horseback riding (there are two barns where you can rent horses), and mountain-biking.
Nearby towns and cities include: Pescaglia, 3 miles; Lucca, 15 miles; Pisa, 30 miles, including 15 on the motorway; Florence, 60 miles, including 40 on the motorway; Sienna, 95 miles, including 80 on the motorway.
Viareggio and the coast is 30 miles away, or even less if you have a map and take the more direct route along smaller roads.
The best way to reach Pascoso is to rent a car at the Pisa or Florence airports or the train stations. Otherwise, you can use the bus service from Lucca. This is a delightful house, with very high standards of presentation, ideal for two couples, or a family, wishing either to relax in the village, to explore the surrounding area, or to travel further afield.
Pascoso (Pescaglia) , Lucca , Tuscany , Italy
Traffic is almost unheard of in Pascoso (district of Pescaglia). However, you will find that all the essential services are provided by the village's one store, which is run by a local family and sells everything to meet your daily needs. Next door to the store, the family runs an old style trattoria. The dishes served are exclusively those typical of the region - wild game, homemade pasta, Tuscan wines and cheeses and homemade cakes and pies. There is a post office open all year round and, just a few kilometers from Pascoso, there are towns with more stores.
A section of the Turrite Stream is reserved for fishing. Trout abound, although, given the low levels of the water, they generally do not grow to be very large. Further downstream, the Turrite flows into a large, artificial basin where the fish are less numerous, but much bigger. For those of you who like an easy catch, there are fishing pools just a few short miles from Pascoso, alongside a fish-breeding center, where you can buy fresh trout.
