Grade II listed 18th century traditional Welsh farmhouse now renovated but retaining many period features. Set in 90 private acres of the glorious Snowdonia National Park near Beddgelert, North Wales. Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. Double with Victorian style white and brass metal bedstead and original boarded and beamed ceiling. Fully carpeted with CH radiator. A hit with children and teens with a desk area, lots of toys and books. Random slate slabs with underfloor heating and contemporary woollen rug. All bedrooms have traditional Welsh blankets and duvets. Hallway with coat and boot storage leading to comfortable lounge with huge inglenook. Our own logs are supplied for the wood burning stove. Two lovely sofas and a feature hand hooked rug. Oak dresser with games for all ages. Beamed ceiling, digital, flat screen TV, DVD/video player, CD/cassette player, loads of books and a big DVD/video library. Second bathroom with power shower and contemporary WC, basin and bidet. Very well-equipped modern kitchen/diner with double electric oven, microwave oven, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher – everything you might need and more to cater for six. Circular white extendable table and up to 6 matching chairs. Random slate slabs with underfloor heating plus pot bellied wood burning stove. Outside there is a walled front garden with patio furniture and a rear patio area. Large garden area and orchard with the Orchard House – housing the 2/3 seater hot tub spa. Outdoor children’s play equipment. Ideal for walkers, ramblers, families or just those wanting to get away from it all. Popular for birthdays and anniversaries. All linens supplied including robes and flip flops for the hot tub plus extra towels. Welcome packs for all guests (even our canine friends) and lots of little extras provided in the kitchen including our own free-range eggs and toiletries inc. WC rolls in both bathrooms. Weekly from PDS435 to PDS935 all inclusive – no hidden extras. Well-controlled dogs always welcome. Short breaks and long weekends often available at short notice – please enquire. Now with satellite wi-fi broadband (limited usage).

Buarthau Farm is set in 90 glorious acres of the Snowdonia National Park. It is a beautiful, tranquil valley with a single track lane and mountains on either side. The River Nanmor borders the farm and there are lots of wonderful hidden places to explore - you can see Mount Snowdon from the top of our land and look down to the distant shore at Porthmadog. The area is very popular with walkers and ramblers or people just wishing to get away from it all. Families love the freedom and space.

Our nearest village (village store, post office, cafes, restaurants, ice cream bar etc) is Beddgelert 5mls away. Porthmadog is our nearest large town where you will find supermarkets and shops plus many places to eat. Here also is the main railway station and two steam railway stations - always popular with families. There is a leisure centre with swimming pool and Black Rock Sands are a further 5 mins by car. Also nearby is the famous Portmeirion Italianate Village with fabulous gardens and buildings plus two wonderful restaurants.

Additional Information

Full welcome packs await each party of guests - even those taking short breaks. We will baby sit small children when parents wish to use the hot tub. Well-behaved dogs are always welcome but please bring your own pet bedding and other items including dog towels etc. The hot tub is a 2-3 seater, located in an outbuilding. There are 12 hydrotherapy jets and 7 body jets plus LED feature lighting. The hot tub is available from 1p.m. each day unless a water change needs to be undertaken.
