Jasmine Villa is situated on the edge of the village and is in an ideal location for all local amenities and it is a 10 minute walk to the village centre. A welcome pack will be waiting when you arrive consisting of tea, coffee, eggs, bread, butter and juice etc. Our local English speaking agent will be on hand to offer advice and local knowledge including hire cars, day trips etc. The Villa will be cleaned and bedding changed once a week and the pool maintained daily. If you require extra cleaning this can be arranged with our local agent at a small charge. There is private parking with direct road access if you wish to hire a car. All rooms are fully air conditioned. All external doors and windows have insect screens fitted and mosquito machines are available. The lounge area is very spacious with 2 long 3/4 sofa beds and there is a well equipped fitted kitchen suitable for 6 people. There are 2 dining areas, inside and another outside in the open air mezzanine room leading onto the terrace surrounding the private infinity pool. The private pool is accessed through the french doors from the lounge, enabling a watchful eye to be kept on the children as they play. It is also enclosed by a balustrade wall making it less easy for children to wander off. The mediteranean garden is very beautiful, set with palm, lemon, olive, banana trees and many exotic flowers. This holiday villa has two large bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and the spacious second bedroom has two single beds with both bedrooms opening out onto the sea view upper balcony over looking the Mediterranean. Both bedrooms have loads of storage space, twin wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing tables, bedside tables, bedding and towels. There is a large bathroom with Jacuzzi and shower and marbled topped vanity units on the second floor and another large shower room on the ground floor, also with marbled topped vanity units and housing the washing machine. This vacation holiday self catering Villa is very well equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker, washing machine, kettle, toaster, and many cooking utensils. Additional items include a pushchair, portable cot, bottle sterilising unit, bottle warmer, CD player, sun beds and pool furniture and many other useful items including, pool toys, games, books and magazines, iron and ironing board, extra fan, hairdryer, sewing kit, medical kit, torches and candles. Further stairs lead up to the ceramic tiled roof terrace with a barbecue area and unimpeded views to the sea. This is a really special place to catch up with your sun tan, and also an opportunity to experience the amazing view of Kalkan habour. Kalkan is a enchanting harbour village resting in the foothills of the Toros mountains and overlooking a beautiful bay. Its quaint, traditional, white-washed houses, shuttered windows and balconies garlanded with brilliant flowers that cascade to the streets below, make it the ultimate peaceful holiday village in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. Narrow winding streets lined with souvenir shops and small cafes and restaurants lead down to the charming marina. Many people have their favorite restaurants but our advice is to explore and try as many as possible as each restaurant has its own style and different choice of menus. Quietly peaceful by day, Kalkan comes alive at night with plenty of shops, restaurants and small bars to add a change of pace to your day. The choice of restaurants from the harbor to those on the roof terraces are all good quality and you will have great difficulty in choosing a favorite eating place. Seek out a bar on the harbour for a good place to sit and have a drink, watch the world go by, then if the mood takes you dance the night away until the new dawn slowly rises for another guaranteed day of sunshine. Everywhere you go in Kalkan you will find a friendly welcome making Kalkan the resort to have a relaxing family holiday.The weather in Kalkan is the equivalent climate of Southern California with sunshine almost guaranteed. A cool breeze called the "The Meltem" usually appears in the afternoon just when you need it. The clean, white pebble beach stretches along the front and is excellent for safe family bathing andthe perfect place to catch up with your sun tan and snorkelling. The sea water temperature rarely drops below 16°C thus enabling swimmers to have an eight to nine month bathing season. One of the many pleasures of holidaying in Kalkan is the wide choice of beautiful places to swim and bathe.You will probably discover your own favourite bathing spot in Kalkan or somewhere along the coast with Kapitas only 5km from Kalkan or Patara beach 12km which is one the finest unspoilt sandy beaches in Europe. Another option is a day at the beach clubs. These are platform beaches across the bay which are reached by frequent shuttle boat service from the marina. The platforms provide everything a holiday-maker can need or dream of, from a sophisticated tequila cocktail to beach mats and banana boats. Kalkan has a small marina that is home to luxury yachts,gulets and deep-sea diving boats. You can hire a gulet for the day, stretch yourself out on a sun mattress as the gulet meanders lazily from beach to island to protected cove. You will swim in transparent turquoise waters, eat lunch on the boat and enjoy a friendly afternoon turkish tea, all for a modest charge.
