Southerly is a modern glass building designed by the Australian architect Craig Rosevear, who won the Residential Award RAIA TAS 1997 for this structure. On a dune, and almost completely surrounded by glass, it offers fantastic views of the sea and becomes a natural viewing plöatform in itself. Here you can listen to the soothing sound of the waves and unwind from stressful everyday life. The house is equipped with a full kitchen and also offers BBQ cooking on the rear balcony. Southerly also offers three bedrooms: one room with a queen size bed, one bedroom with double bed and for the children a room with a bunk bed.

Clifton Beach is about 25 minutes drive from both Hobart and historic Richmond. The journey from the airport takes about 20 minutes.

Clifton Beach is a relaxed place about 25 minutes drive from Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. Despite this closeness to the capital, it is a very quiet place where no traffic noise disturbs the peace. Here you can find Tasmania's rural life. An ideal place to enjoy native animals in their natural habitat, also various species of colorful parrots and Blue Wrens. The evening will also bring out the bushtail possum. The bird lovers will find Muttonbird colonies at Cape Desclas only a 20 minute walk along the beach from Southerly. A private path leads from Southerly to the beach, where, depending on the mood, swimming, fishing, surfing or simply walking can be enjoyed.
