The house was newly built in spring 2009. Villa Sommartider is situated on a 1,000 sqm plot with a view of the Baltic Sea. The shore of the Kalmar Sound is a 2-minute walk away. It is a new build from the Swedish company Älvsbyhus from 2009 with 3 single bedrooms and an additional sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine (all Bosch), microwave, etc. Bathroom with bath/shower and underfloor heating. Fireplace in the living room, TV, stereo/CD, DVD, 140 m2 wooden terrace, garden furniture, barbecue etc., wood-fired outdoor sauna, wood-fired new bath tub.

Location and surroundings of object
Right at the tip Oknö the holiday object is located. From here you have a great view of the Baltic Sea. In two minutes (200 m), is on the Baltic Sea beach. Small residential street (dead end) with about 10 houses. Absolute tranquility in a fantastic location! NEW CONSTRUCTION! Large playground located 2 minutes walk. Untreated plot with old pines and forest floor. Oknö is a beautiful island in Kalmar, which can be reached by car over a small dam. Almost exclusively holiday home development. Oknö is surrounded by small islets, everywhere there are beaches and bathing. Tennis, mini golf, jogging, several playgrounds, marina. Small grocery store. Oknö is one of the sunniest parts of Sweden.

In addition to the above mentioned equipment, Villa Sommartider has an outdoor sauna with original Swedish wood fire sauna stove!!! The equipment also includes a new Swedish bath tub with wood-burning stove!!! Villa Sommartider is at ground level and is also suitable for wheelchair users inside the house. There is a small step in front of the house entrance. Please ask if you need further details.

Villa Sommartider on Oknö
Finally we experienced Smaland in winter, even with snow. We booked the house Villa Sommartider. The island of Oknö (accessible by car via a dam) lies in the Kalmarsund about half an hour from Kalmar. We found the house as described. Everything was tiptop clean. The caretaker had even preheated the house. Since we arrived late in the evening, we were happy to have firewood for the first evening. The house is new, all amenities are available. Especially great is the separate house entrance when you come out of the outdoor sauna. On the huge wooden terrace, next to the sauna, there is also a hot tub for heating with wood. From here you also have a view of the Baltic Sea. You can get wood for the fireplace and sauna at the DIY store and the petrol station in town. We would like to come back. Next time maybe in summer to use the boat as well.
